It is with great sadness to learn that Tony Dungy will be stepping down as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. He led the team so well and he was a winner, leading teams into championships and the playoffs like few before him. Making this even more significant is the fact that Dungy was one of the few BLACK coaches to do it. He always said that the "3 F's" were most important in his life: faith, family and football and he will be deeply missed, but we appreciate and respect his decision to walk away from one "F" (football) to focus on his two other "F's": his family and his faith.
We respect your decision, Tony, we admire you, as both a coach and a person, we will miss you, we love you and we wish you all the best. Thanks for making the Colts one of the most exciting teams in the NFL and good luck with everything.
Cheers to that. A true symbol of what its all about.
There's gonna be big shoes to fill when it comes to Tony Dungy. No question he's going to go in the NFL Hall of Fame. To not have him in would be a crime once he's eligible.
Tony Dungy said "I’ve gotten to live a dream that most people don’t get to live." ... and he took a swarm of Colts fans along for the ride.
As for his successor Jim Caldwell ... let's hope he picked up a LOT of tips from Tony during his time with the Colts ... since his efforts at Wake Forest were ... less than spectacular.

What do you think of Colts owner comments about letting Manning go because of only 1 Super B ring? Many teams have never won a Super Bowl. He picked this opportune time to utter these words when Denver is playing them. Football can be a mean game. You need to be thick skinned. So many rumors are...

I see your points. I see the Colts winning also. Your link will probably soon be snipped from the forum post. We are not allowed to start threads to promote our personal hubs. But, welcome to HubPages. Look forward to reading more hubs as you publish them.

Hey everyone, How about the Thursday Night Football game of Week 15 between the Colts and Jags? It has been a back and forth game with Jacksonville leading 31-28 with 12 minutes left in the 4th Quarter.
