How's your week going?

   Oh my goodness......, my week is crazy! My cat brought in a yellow finch this morning, right as I was walking out the door. Needless to say, I have 14 foot ceilings, and I happen to only be 5'4.
   
   Feathers are everywhere.....
   
   This is only half of it, I've taken out a black snake, two night crawlers, and one dead rabbit thus far.  What's next the neighbor's dog?

      lol, cats do drag in their kills from time to time.  My grandmother had cats and they would do the same and also bring up lizards.

   Oh my.  I hate lizards.  But I hate snakes too.  Unfortunately the snake was still alive.  I kept telling myself, "Be Steve Erwin, be Steve Erwin."  It worked.  I carefully picked it up by it's tail, and carried it to a wooded lot. 
   
   I almost pee'd myself when it squirmed and wiggled away.  Whew! Although, that darn bird was not any fun either.  I have a new appreciation for feathers.

   Well...lol...I think...lol...I think I'd say...to, um...lol...keep the cat in the house? 
   
   Years ago, my daughter had a cat that did the same thing.  She'd brought in numerous live mice (Thanks!! cat..) and a live bird.  We got rid of the bird by leaving the door open but couldn't manage to keep the cat inside...again....

      Oh, I forgot about my week.  It's going all right.  My first day of classes was easy, fooled me!    Today I forgot to take my binder/workbook for one class...thank God!  the guy sitting next to me shared his so I could at least see what answers to record when I got home.  One of the questions...I knew it wasn't an argument but said the conclusion had to be the second sentence because...(oops!  duh, it isn't an argument!!  I get so nervous with any kind of public speaking.) 
      
      And then, in my speech class, this girl was four seats away from me and she couldn't get up to meet me halfway when the handouts came around, and then she ended up being my partner for the entire semester! 
      
      It's a very small world when the daughter of someone you didn't really like in elementary school becomes your semester long speech partner....

   I know I should leave them in.  But I'm a softy.  However, I just might have to.  Needless to say, I was late for work this morning and I can't be having that.

      Leaving cats in can be very difficult - I know.  My daughters cat would sit next to the door just so she could run outside whenever it opened!  At least she would meow and meow when she was ready to come back in...unless her mouth was full.  Then she'd wait for the door to open.

   We had a humming bird in our house earlier this week, but it came in of its own accord.  I can't imagine having a cat drag things into my house.  Maybe that is why we don't have cats?

   For future reference the National Audubon Society says the best and lest destructive way to get a bird out of a building is to turn off all the lights and open the door the bird will automatically fly towards the sunlight and thus out the door.
   
   This has worked for me on many occasions, for some reason birds love to fly down my chimney. I have used this method at least 10 times over the years and it has never failed.

   lol, Cats look to please you they think of you as the leader and they are bringing you their kill to please you. If only they realized how repulsive this is. lol.

      Yeah I know- cats can be a real pain in the butt.  Like my Winston was this morning.
