    Hi

I'm new here and I'm wondering if banners and affiliate links are allowed in hubpages. Can't seem to find the TOC for creating Hubs

    Thanks

You can't add banners to hubs because you can't add the html.

The only affiliate links allowed are from Amazon and Ebay. You may only use product links in the capsules provided.

To be very clear - anywhere you can put text, you can put an affiliate link.  Anywhere you can put a link capsule, you can use affiliate links.

Here's the part of the FAQ that deals with promotional stuff.

    No banners.

An affiliate link is allowed, but the writing must be your own. If it trips the duplicate filter you'll get flagged.

But if that's all you want to do, then HubPages is not for you.

you can add affiliate links and you can upload the image that would appear in the banner...you just cant make a clickable image...you can make it pretty close though

you just cant insert the html code

I have never seen an affiliate link on hubpages (apart from ebay and Amazon). Could someone point to me to an example of one? I would like to see how to handle it without violating TOS. Thx.

Thx Misha. So it seems there is a link to a web page and on the web page there is the affiliate link. Nothing too direct. You cant put the clickbank link (or whatever) directly on your hub. Is this correct?

Yes , as already explained by gamegirl. You can directly put any affiliate link in your hub..better you own way...
But always keep the following in mind
          http://hubpages.com/faq/#overly_promotional
else be ready for getting the hub flagged

          Hope that helps smile

I'm pretty new here but it from what I've read Hubpages TOC limits us to just TWO affiliate links per hub to any one domain.

So you can only put two links to clickbank for example, even if you use tinyurl or other way of cloaking. I haven't tried it yet but I think it should be ok to use another couple of affiliate links on the same hub, as long as they don't also point to clickbank.

    Am I right?
