Where does it say that God "sacrificed" his son, or sent him to "die" for us? Please cite chapter and verse. Thank you.
Try using a word/phrase search on a good bible site, or a concordance. You will do WAY better than asking here.
It is on Charpter 3 Versus 16
For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Nothing? Nobody? Really? Is this not a scripture supported doctrine?
It is on Charpter 3 Versus 16. Read above ok. May Jesus bless you always!
Hmmm. No. That verse, doesn't say that God sent him "to die", or that God "sacrificed" him for us... it says that God gave his only begotten son, not to condemn, but to save... and it was spoken by Jesus while he was still alive... meaning it refers to Jesus being given to (brought to life in) the world... not taken from it in death.
Well don't you consider it a sacrifice that God sent his son to spend years with mankind?
He musta been real naughty to get punished like that.
No, I don't... but that is beside the point. I'm not asking about him being born here... I'm asking about his death... and asking for scripture verses that specifically state that God specifically sent Jesus here to die and be sacrificed for our sins.
Oh, well then I guess I understood it differently.
Also I Corinthians Charpter 15 versus 3
"For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriputres.."."
God's Sacrifice...
Jesus was "son of man" as he himself declared in unequivocal terms.
What sacrifice Christian God-the Father or God-the Holy Ghost did make. Please elaborate
1 Peter 3:18 (New International Version)
18For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."I'm a little confused. God sent himself as the form of his only son to die for our sins and go back to heaven right after. I'm having...

If god showed himself to you and commanded you like he did Abraham to kill your son or daughter and have him/her be burned and sacrificed, wouild you do it? How would you feel about god giving you this command?

After a careful reading of Romans 9, what provokes one to bring God's justice into question when Paul anticipates these questions of objection? What's the controversy Paul is bringing to light here?"Is there injustice on God's part?" (Rom 9:14)"Why does he still find fault?"...

Think about this: God, out of profound love for us allowed his own wonderful, dear son be sacrificed for our sins. He didn't sin one time. He didn't die for himself. He died for us, to save us. This is why he is called the savior. Jesus sacrificed his life to save us from hell, which were prepared...

Believe in Jesus Christ, what do you have to lose?If the bible is true, and it is, faith in Jesus Christ promises an abundant life now and for eternity. Jesus came to give us something not take something away. So what do you have to lose?

The Bible says that all one has to do is ask for forgiveness. Now being that, do you think that Satan might have already asked God for forgiveness? Now before you rattle off scripture.....I don't believe...but I could be wrong....that the Bible has nothing to say on that.
