New take on Hillary for 2012:

I know this has been discussed on the forums before, but there are new hints that Hil might run in 2012. She recently slammed the deficit saying that it's a national security problem, and she supposedly has a new website. Many pundits are saying she's revving up for 2012. Others think Obama will boot Biden and ask Hil to be his VP.

What do you think? Will Hil run as Obama's VP? Will she run for POTUS? Would you support her?

Progressives will say anything to get and hold power! Hillary has come right out and admitted she's a progressive (that's code for communist). No progressive is going to get elected in 2012 no matter what they say, or do, or look like!

When are you going to learn what progressives and liberals REALLY want instead of parroting talkshow nonsense?

You are so sure of what will happen in 2012.  What will you do if you are wrong?

Lady_love has spoken and clearly such an erudite voice should be listened to!

        Jesus H tapdancing Christ!!!

        'Progressive are Communists'???!

        'Republicans are Nazis'?

        Let's twist again shall we?

Yes, I would.  She was my vote in the primaries.

I might support Hil, depending on who the republicans run. I don't think I could support a TEA Party candidate, and I can't support Obama. I think Hil could go a long way to healing the division in our nation. Plus, we'd get Bill for free! lol

she won't run in 2012 - they're gonna go with Obama, and she owes WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much to the Democrats.

Great question, Habee. I've long been a supporter of a partnership between Clinton and Obama. It didn't happen in '08, but I'd like to see it in '12.

I'd like to see Hillary as POTUS with Obama as VP, especially given his last weekend's vitriol about being perceived as a dog and sipping slurpees. Wouldn't it be an oh-so-refreshing change of pace for a VP to have a powerful voice?

Pipe dreams, of course. But I like them. These two could be a dynamic duo.

There is little chance that Hilary would run in 2012 in my opinion.  That would be unheard of.  The democrats will rally around Obama.  A sitting president has a strong advantage in being reelected (and for those of you that are sure that Obama will not be, I think you have a short view of history).  Obama is the best chance the democrats have in 2012.  I'm not sure how 2012 will look, and, frankly, anyone that says they are is an idiot.  Frankly, given how polarizing Hilary is, I don't think she would have beaten McCain in 2008.  But she will bide her time and consider her options in 2016.

I'd prefer Hil without Obama! lol. Could Bill be VP??

I think he could be. He knows where the bathrooms are in the White House, he's been chastised already for his mistakes and won't repeat them, and his wife is now Secretary of State while he is....what? Plus, Chelsea loves him. Yes, I think he could be second in command, comfortable with being #2. Both VP and First Man. Wonder what kind of redecorating he'd do in the White House?

Come on, Habee. Suck it up! You'll be doing a service for the demographic that has a sense of humor. A little bit of nausea is a small price to pay for patriotic activism. (Gonna make myself sick here.) LOLOLOLOLOL

The words 'new' and 'Hillary' may just be an oxymoron.  Like saying I bought a new used car.  As Sally's Trove says, pipe dream.  Sadly for Democrats, Obama has driven so much of the country to the right it'll probably be a long time before the voters dare elect another Democrat for fear of getting a second dose.  Oh well, life goes on.

Sally's Troveposted 13 years agoin reply to this

The word "new" was applied to "hints" and "website", not Hillary.

Maybe some have been driven to the right, but isn't it amusing that the right home party is so fractured? In the middle of primaries all over the country, losing Republicans are refusing to support their party's elected candidates, playing very badly in the sandbox.

Democrats are looking real good now. smile

Maybe you'd better let them know they're looking real good.  They don't seem to believe it.

Looking back almost two years ago, there was no doubt in anyone's mind that Hillary would make a bid in 2012. The writing's on the wall, no matter what SHE says. Well, of course, I could be wrong. smile
