When a comment appears for moderation there is an IP address under approve/delete - who does this IP address belong to?
It's the IP address of the person who left the comment. That feature was added some time ago to better help Hub authors spot and report abuse issues in comments.

tip: you can google the ip address and find out the location of the person. I gather it is linked to the service provider, but not 100% percent sure on that.
Try googling it... you will be surprised at what you find!!!

Just remember IP address's do not always to point to the person's direct location. When I lived in MN, our IP pointed to Denver because that is where the company's servers were located

every other day or so, someone leaves nasty comments on my hubs. it is always a new account with no profile, no avatar, and no fans. sometimes they pick the same hub and leave the same comment. i know because they always misspell the word "amok".i have to wonder about the mental stability...

I've been finding comments on my articles, advertisements /testimonials for someone named Dr. Death who places curses on people. The odd thing is, I am not notified of the comments and have no idea they are on the article until I receive another comment from someone else. Has anyone else seen this...
