I have seen a number of people lately reporting Google has shut them down. For those of you have had your accounts reinstated, did you get the cash pending in your account for that month before you were shut down? Or did you just have to start over?
Yes it can happen
Now what ? Forget about it.
It is highly unlikely that Google will unlock your Adsense account again, unless you have a fantastic reason (this is a rarity). Don't waste your time. Remember it is the Internet age and everything is automated and Google's answers to any sincere and arguing emails would be useless. Mainly because, they are completely robotized.
Kontera, Adbrite and Chitika are not bad - but nothin really is as good as Adsense
Have just written a hub about it - more details are available there and you can get more info with regard to being banned from adsense
http://hubpages.com/hub/banned-from-adsense
If you are with hubpages, get yourself a kontera account as well.
Best
Do you mean they can shut down your hub? Because I will leave them in a heart beat if that is the case.
She means that Google shut down some Hubbers' Adsense. It happened to me.
In my case, they let me keep all my accrued earnings.
Can someone at HP tell us how Google looks at our visitors? I mean, is it per page or does Google tally up the visitors from all of our Hub Pages?
I'm asking because if one page receives only one visitor that day and he clicks an ad, my "Page CTR is 100%", I think there is a better chance of getting kicked from Adsense from having a CTR near 100%. Even when one or two more visitors come to the page, CTR will still be suspiciously too high.
Now if this happens every few days, I'd be worried about how Google's algorithm would see this.
However, if you tally up all my visitors from all my pages in a day, my CTR is in the single digits!
@anitariley65
Google can't shut down your Hub, but Google can ban you from Adsense if their algorithm spots something suspicious.
Did they give you a reason for terminating your account?
Janet21,
Though I couldn't see it at the time, the reason they gave me was invalid clicks. Someone had taken my Adsense ID and posted it on a site with porn on it - porn from the company I work for oddly enough, and then had pushed thousands of clicks through.
I could not get approved so I just said the heck with it.....Hubpages should make it simple like Squidoo and pay your paypal instead of tracking it.
Squidoo only pays you from the profits not the gross - Id rather have HP format and have a clear and transparent payment system than worry about a companys profits - especially these days LOL
I agree it seems to be a getting harder to get an adsense account - but realistically - you will make only a few dollars in the first 6 months anyway - so don't stress it - write a decent set of hubs in your first 6 months and then apply - you should be fine
Google a long time ago banned me. I own several ISP's and I have the ads on a small one, they claimed my traffic looked unusal... of course it did I had the same 500 customers logging on the site every day so all my traffic was from the same 500 people. Google sorta does what Google wants to do. I have applied to get Google on this site I don't expect I will Ah well I can live without them.

There is currently an issue with AdSense that is interfering with changes, additions, or applications. We are aware of the issue and are in communication with Google AdSense and hope they will have a solution shortly. Please note this only affects account configuration. Thanks for your patience.

Do you think HubPages would warn us in advance if they shut the site down?I suspect that, sometimes at least, many of us write directly onto the page at HubPages, without having first written offline and saving written work to our own pc. This question is also a warning to hubbers to do just that -...

Well, that’s nice, very nice. I haven’t got a clue of what I did wrong. And after filling in the online appeal form they told me they had reviewed my account information, taken my feedback into account, but still had concluded that my AdSense account has posed a significant risk. And I have no idea...
