Hi, and sorry if this is a redundant question, but I couldn't find an answer anywhere.
When an article is updated, does it go back out on the feed?
Can an individual article have it's own feed?
Asking, because I'm doing an article that is going to be like an ongoing thing, with frequent updates, and want everyone to be able to keep up.
Thanks so much.
Amie
I dont know about hubpagesbut i use rapidfeeds an you have to update the feed every time you publish an article
It's not a problem, that is what the forum community is for.
The feed updates automatically on it's own. Any changes will be made as it cycles through.
When you setup the feed, you can set it to a specific keyword. Make sure the keyword is exclusive to your individual hub.
Make sure you inform your reader to sign up for the feed or subscribe to the feed on the hub, so updates can be received. But, then again, sooner or later, your hub will get very long.
You're welcome.
Rather than directly answer, i would suggest that you reconsider your approach.
Its sounds like you want to use one hub as a blog.
An rss feed will in no way inform your readers of changes in already published hub.
Thanks, but I don't want to use it as a blog. I'll just do several parts, and link them together.
so you will do several "hubs" and then link them together?
"an article" is singular - see my confusion?
I can answer anything you would want to do with an rss feed, Im sure.
But, I dont know what your asking yet.
If an article runs over 2000 words it's often a good idea to break it down into easy to understand parts, then link them. How long is the article, Amie?
Rss Feed question: I submit a hub to technorati and they ask me to place a code that they gave me to put in my article to make sure I'm the author, and I did that and they ask me the RSS feed and I gave it to them but they said that the code is not visible in the feed that I gave them.
What Rss feed shall I give them that will open as one hub only, because if I say Http://hubpages,com/author/yourname/latest/?rss it will give you all of your hub.
And the code that they gave me- I place it in the capsule at the end of the whole article, but they said they couldn't find it. I can see it in the article but I can't see it in the HTML code source. How can I make it appear in the HTML source code?

Hey Staff,Please get your moderation team on the same page. I am beginning to get PISSED OFF at their incompetence.Last time I checked, RSS Feeds are allowed to be ON hubs and must be relevant to the HUB.I am getting sick and tired of moderators telling me to DELETE specific links inside RSS Feeds,...

I really can't point any of you to the many discussions there were about whether RSS feeds that display our own Hubs in a specific Hub of ours are a violation of the HP rules or not.I read info that the "best", "latest", and "hot" categories were not appropriate to add...
