   My hubscore has dropped to 83 i think the lowest in three years yet my no of visitors remains pretty much the same as normal ~ work that out ?

            lol, my hubber score fluctuates at a range of 8-10 point daily. Also my hubscores. Today morning the average of my top 10 hubs score were 76, few hours later it came down to 72, now its 74

      Can't.  Mine bounces like a ball but I gain views and followers.  I pretty much ignore the scores as long as I like what I write.

      I am much newer, and never really understand the "secret" stuff for why HubScores drop, but my Ad Sense is down too...so maybe if the Hog's Win, I will be back in business...

   I understand your score would becuase you have been a member such a short time as such the equaion they use on hubpages would do this but as I say i have been three years hear & this is the lowest store in at least 2 and a half...

      They really don't unless you want to be able to use hubs for DoFollow links for other sites you may have. I think individual hubs needs to 40 or higher, and your overall author score needs to be (and don't quote me on this) 75 or higher to allow DoFollow links. Other than that, who cares?

      As far as making money, it doesn't matter that much.  Though the better quality your hubs, the higher your score, and if you produce quality hubs, you do gain higher standing with google.  The only place the score has any real impact is here in the hubpages community.  Those with higher scores are seen as more experienced, quality writers who are active in the community.  It's a sort of a benchmark for the overall quality of the hubber.  But, it isn't all in how much time you have been here.  As most hubbers will tell you, the score is calculated from your average hub scores, your involvement in the forums, your hubkharma, your mother's birthdate, the last 4 digits of your SS# (for the US hubbers), and a complex amount of other data that hubpages has accumulated about you.  I am kidding on some of that, though.

   being active in the forums will help raise the score, if it is important to you and commenting on other hubs too. Fanning/following other hubbers and not commenting on any of their hubs will lower it.

         Nah. None at all I don't think. But they count all your toes and fingers as you write your hubs. It is an algorithm no one knows how to interpret really.

            Exactly.  My score still fluctuates all over the place.  I barely pay it any attention any more.  I have a second account where my score is pretty much the same thing, and I hardly ever check that one anymore.  So, who knows how they really calculate the scores...

      Simone, basically, here are what dofollow/nofollow links are:
      
      Dofollow - These impress search engines more because their crawlers will follow the links.
      Nofollow - this is a note in the code to crawlers not to follow links and/or to not put any value in outgoing links, meaning they don't count towards your pages worth in search engine eyes.

   I was off hubpages for 3 days and my hub score dropped 5 points to 84. So I guess hubpages needs to be an everyday commitment? How much time to I need to stay in the forums everyday to keep my hubscore level at around 90?
