If that is the good news, then I have to say the leaves on the tree outside are growing again.

I agree victor, I think Oprah is an amazing lady and she has a big following down here, just like the rest of the world.

Was told by some Aussie friends that she will be bringing about 300 of the audience along with her.

I saw that and wondered why. Wouldn't it be nice to let some Aussie fans into her show. Maybe I am missing something or got the wrong end of the stick. It is extremely generous of her to fly an audience out but am sure we could cheer to smile...well those that like her anyway.

She's bringing her audience but there will be tickets available by ballot from her website, apparently about 3000 tickets for the two shows she will be filming at the Opera House forecourt. Check out her website if you're interested. http://www.oprah.com/index.html

Of course, she has to include local audience, to make it authentic that it is Ozland - let's hope there will not be a name change to "Oprah House" after this. smile

Thanks but we have enough talk show hosts here already!

It could  be great fun and she might even have a good time here unless Mel and Koshy get to her. Then we're all done for!!! smile

Ellen must have told her about australia with her Portia de Rossi link. Also the Tom Cruise link.

I hope Oprah likes it here and she may be a good boost for Aboriginal rights etc.

Mel and koshy WILL get to her, she will appear on Sunrise and every other talk show down here.  Oh the thought of Koshy asking the talk show Queen questions?!!? He'll just giggle his way through it won't he?

Anyway, 7pm project will probably get first dibs at her because her show airs on Channel 10.

Umm interesting ... you may be right, yet maybe they will put on an oprah exclusive which she hosts herself. I dont see her being big on being interviewed.

Yes, Oprah is coming to Australia.
While she is here, America's most famous mad cow will be visiting Sydney - the capital of New South Wales, NOT the capital of Australia - and Melbourne, the capital of Victoria and Australia's original national capital.
Thank the spirits that I do not have to go anywhere near either city while she is here!
Now if Jerry Springer were coming over.... Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!
