This feature would be so cool!

I am pretty much sure that someone already mentioned it here, but want to highlight it again: that would be so cool if we could transfer hubs as we can transfer squidoo lenses. I know it's a big deal to add this feature to the site, but I hope it 's on the "to do" list...

Actually I kinda think it's cool that people can't sell Hubs.  (which is really what you seem to be implying)

People sell their blogs and web sites and other "mini" sites as well and there is nothing wrong with selling hubs if you provide quality and interesting content. I would be happy to create and transfer a few hubs to people who were helping me with promoting my business and it would be a simple "thank you" from me. And you are wrong that people don't sell hubs, they do. But since there is no "transfer" feature, they open a new account, create a hub and never come back. I never opened any accounts (besides mine) and never spam hubpages.

We are aware that hubs have almost certainly been created by contract, and that accounts have probably been sold, but it's not something we want to encourage.  If you look at the list of top Hubbers, they are by and large all real people that participate in the community and stand behind the hubs that they create.

Actually I guess I don't sell a hub - more like I rent out the space in my account!

I sell hubs - that is I write them and post them for money.  I sell my clients the service of producing for them a hub page in my hubpages account.  That way I get to keep the score and the amazon ebay and adsense income and they get the links and/or promotional message they want.

    Works for me.

I'm a real person and wouldn't write about anything I wouldn't stand behind quality wise - and if they want a dubious hub they can have one but in THEIR account thanks!

So I'll write a hub for someone else's account for sure, but I prefer not to as I like the small income from the ones in my own name.  I tend to point out to clients that my hubs in my name will get far better exposure than in their name as the profile score and hub score and fanbase is in their favour when they use my account.

I wouldn't sell one once written and pass it on - sounds too much like hard work!  I hadn't even thought about it!

Hitting self over head (whats the smiley for that?) - like duh I never thought of that, I can be so bloody thick some days!

Mail me if you want, Lis - I do it all the time.  If someone asks about articles for marketing I casually ask "what about hubpages, would you like me to post one of them on there for you?" and more people are nibbling all the time.

If they have their own account that's fine, but most people are very happy for me to use mine, hence the separation (I'm not my REALLY a multiple perosnality) obviously self-designed hubs that I find rewarding and fascinating and an outlet eg Dr Who, guitars, guitarists, pubic hair, local what's on page etc etc - and there are pages for my own ends such as the dogs pages, but the odd and disparate assortment of "other pages" that may seem a bit random at times will come from either client requests or HUBMOB (of course!)
