I'll try to make it as short as possible, any help would be appreciated!
I just created my first hub, I have published this content on Bukisa and associated content as well. As far as I know, hubpages allows to create hubs with previously published content. My first question is: how will the low score they are going to give me affect the performance?
I have a warning on the hub :"A substantial portion of the content on this hub appears on other sites" it says it needs revision and is not yet published(however, I just submitted it 20 minuts ago).
Should I be worried about this? or does hubpages just PREFER original content?
3rd question: Is this going to be a problem with google adsense? I have not applied for the program yet, is there a point?
4th question: should I apply to google adsense with only 1 hub or should I wait until I have at least a few?
Sorry for the long post, thanks for your help!
Welcome to HubPages!
HubPages is all about publishing "original" content. Your hub will suffer a duplicate tag because it's copied elsewhere. It is best to write similar stuff to other things you have published online. Not exact same.
As for publishing more hubs, that would be good. You can sign up for Google Adsense anytime you want. A few more hubs won't hurt, but as far as I know, it's not required.
Signing up for Google Adsense is a good way to earn from your writing. Also, you can learn other things about tracking, monitoring keywords and other things. The more you publish quality content, then you are likely to earn more.
So, I would re-write your hub, based on the same or similar topic as your other writing elsewhere, but try to avoid duplicating it.
I hope that answered your questions. I do hope you enjoy your time here at HubPages.
Hey there, welcome!
I have one more question, figured I'd post it here rather than start a new post. I noticed that my hub has google ads on it but I never signed up for the program.
Am I going to earn something from the ads even tho I never signed up? and are they going to close my hub when they see I have duplicate content? I didn't personaly place the ads there, hubpages did but they say that ads are strictly prohibited my hub...I'm confused.
If you don't sign up for Google, the ads on your hubs will be strictly for Hubpages to earn from.
Check out HubPages Learning Center as well. That will help you too.
Take a few moments and read the site FAQ, http://hubpages.com/faq/
It will answer nearly every question you've asked, and explain how HubPages operates.

Now don't get me wrong, I totally love writing on Hubpages and being a part of the Hubbing community, but I have lost a little heart recently when one hub of mine on "How to Improve Male Fertility" had the ads disabled based on automatic filters. This problem I reported in order to have...

I think it would be nice if we could earn money from our questions here on hubpages. Still with the 60/40 split just like on our hubs. The only thing I would think would be people posting too many questions, so maybe implement a cap on questions ie 3-5 per day as long as they are not spammy. ...

I am just learning all about everything on the internet, and I signed up for a Google AdSense account so that I could get paid for my articles. Well, I don't know what the heck I did, but they deleted my account and have now denied me access to another one? I have tried and tried to get...

Since Google AdSense makes absolutely no sense to me and putting links/coupon codes for my website in a hub is apparently prohibited, how am I supposed to use HubPages to make money? I'm not trying to complain or sound whiny, but I put a lot of work into a hub about Wiccan Starter Kits. I didn't...

I joined HubPages in 2011 but decided to leave 10 months in to re-start my own blog, and migrated all my content over to Wordpress. I was doing very well on HubPages, head got big, and I thought I could do better on my own. The reality is, I still could, but I think you get more with a platform...

Hi hubbers,I just published a hub Submissive Women vs. Dominant Women which has more to do with the roles of women in society and less to do sexual dominance or submission. However, Google is currently unable to see the distinction, and I am not getting AdSense ads.Suggestions on how I can change...
