No kidding, I couldn't believe it when I was watching The Universe last night, episode The Strangest Things ever.

    countdown.

    1. a star forming region made of alcohol.  yes, that is right, the same stuff that gets us drunk!  Just floating around in space creating new stars!  The irony is timeless.http://fascinatingly.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/stellar-nebula-cone-nebula-stars-wallpaper.jpg http://www.labnews.co.uk/cms_images/Image/Orion_1.jpg

    2. pulsar planets! What!  All this time I was thinking anything in the path of a pulsar would just fail to exist, but nope, a planet that is a pulsar.  Weird. http://colinshew.com/art/pulsar_planet.jpg what is stranger than that is that they have also found planets orbiting a pulsar.

    3. mini black holes

    4. a pulsar/quasar star (I am probably not accurate with the name)  http://www.redorbit.com/modules/reflib/article_images/6_c90fae467630fef07c8241387669e4e4.jpg this plus a little of this http://maybusher.com/fckeditor/editor/filemanager/connectors/aspx/pics/BlogPics/image/quasar.jpg  you get something like http://blogs.discovery.com/twisted_physics/images/2008/10/16/pulsar_illustration.jpg

anyways, out of all the strangest things in the Universe, number 1 happens to Earth!

I have to agree, Earth is the strangest thing in the Universe.  smile http://www.spacetoday.org/images/SolSys/Earth/EarthBlueMarbleWestTerra.jpg
yip, this is the strangest thing in the Universe!

mini black holes happen to be an area of expertise for me, as I have one in my house which swallows whatever it is I happen to be looking for at the time -- it's actually Schroedinger's Mini Black Hole, because it cannot be observed unless you are not looking at it, nor is it in motion unless a cat is dead.  Or something like that, I get a bit fuzzy with the details, probably because of  # 1, the alcohverse, which proves what Franklin said about God wanting us to be happy.

    Great pictures, Sandra.

All I need to do now is kidnap a physics egghead. They can make me an intergalactic wormhole to that wonderful cloud of floating alcohol - there should be enough there to keep me going for a couple of weeks.

Well, I built a wormhole device in my time travle machine in the future, but it destablized the continum so much that I had to jump back in time 20 years, destroy the information that gave me the idea about how to build it and force myself to forget what happened, thus preventing the original destablize paradox.

NOW I gotta live the last 20 years all over again, and I'm stuck here with you guys!

I am actually the future you. The avatar is a disguise hmm

Be very afraid of what you will turn out to be, and avoid ducks.

Ah, yes, well, that would explain your exceptionally high intelligence, your great sense of humor and your love of fetta and olives.

            lol

Thank you for the kind words, Past Me. Your diligent study and cold pizza breakfasts made you what you are in the future.

Do you have the duck phobia yet, or has 'The Incident' yet to happen? hmm

I don't have a phobia about ducks, but it must be starting.  I avoid bills as much as I can smile

                lol

That is how it starts. I cannot say too much more, because it might create a temporal paradox that results in Obama becoming the Anti-Christ. However, it is very messy, and results in an inter-dimensional timewarp appearing under Wall-Street, sending trillions of dollars into another dimension.

By the way...It is all Sandra's fault. wink
