8 days, 8 hubs...I've been trying to absorb as much information as I could, but for the most part it just seems like I'm overwhelming myself. I've been reading the forums and popular help hubs on keywords, backlinks, reading and answering questions and the such.

Are my topics interesting and popular enough? Is my writing ok? what's the deal with those RSS feed things? Should I use them? Tell me everything and anything. I would love to hear your comments and improve smile

edit: I guess I'm supposed to pick a few specific hubs so...

    http://hubpages.com/hub/World-War-2-The … Blitzkrieg

double edit: I'm thinking of focusing on writing mostly gaming/film/history hubs.

triple edit: I have 256 page views so far...is that pretty average for new users?

You're asking a lot! smile There is so much information out there and I'm still learning myself.

My best advice is to check out Edweirdo's hubs on RSS, http://hubpages.com/hub/Promote-Your-Ol … -RSS-Feeds

    Darkside's hubs on the basics,http://hubpages.com/profile/darkside

    Misha's hubs on keywords, http://hubpages.com/hub/Google-Keyword-Tool-Redefined

    Susana S' hub on money http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Mon … ges-Step-1

Those hubbers have some other great hubs as well, if your brain isn't full after that. By the way, you can post links to your hubs here, it's hubpages etiquette to post one link for review.

I have looked at some of darkside's hubs and Edweirdo's RSS hub, but I guess I'm just trying to do everything at once and should focus on 1 at a time. I'll definitely bookmark those other two and look at them though; thanks for the help smile

Took a look - your writing is good and grammar spelling etc well done.  The layout seems to be easy to navigate and each subssection easy for googlybot-thingys to find.  Looks good to me bud !

Thank you for the kind words; perhaps I should focus more on learning all the complex internet stuff now smile

    Welcome to HubPages! smile

    I've reviewed your hub links.

    (a) You have used a singular text capsule for all your text. This sometimes is okay if you're writing short poems, but to write lengthy hubs, you want to use more text capsules. This will give you more Google Adsense ad spaces opened and more ads added to your hub for more revenue opportunities. The prime real-estate for Google Adsense ads are along side your first text capsule and spaces will pop up in other areas, such as sometimes between the first and second text capsule or between the second and third capsule.

    (b) Add more pictures to your hub, if possible. The picture you have at the top of your hub isn't advisable. It should be placed next to your secondary text capsule. Hence, yet another reason for using more than one text capsule.

    (c) I would advise to even add things like Amazon links via Amazon capsules, news capsules(if warranted) and an RSS feed if you choose.

    (d) As for learning more complex things of the Internet, I would first get very familiar with HubPages' platform. Play with different formats/layouts, use the "preview" option to show you were the ads will show up.

    (e) If your text goes longer than 1500 words, then the keyword/tags can range up to 40 keywords/tags/phrases. The average length should be about 1000 words with 9-15 keywords/tags. Use that only as a basis, but see what works for you.

    Hope that helped. smile

A lot of helpful points here, thanks Cagsil smile

edit: I'm going through all of these for every single one of my hubs. What would I do without you!
