Should I create another ID/profile?

    I need your help !

    I am a relative newcomer at the Hubpages. Till date I have written 11 hubs. All of them are non-commercial, except the Adsense ads and the Amazon capsules. Now I plan to write a few hubs with "sales" in mind. They may be either optimized for keywords or written around particular products (don't worry I will not spam, the articles will still be hopefully useful by themselves smile ).

    Should I create a new, different profile for that, or I should continue with the current profile?

      I guess there's no harm in continuing with your current hubber account. Besides it would make it more diverse - everything under one roof! But that's just me, of course cool

    Hi Cris,

    Thanks for the prompt reply to my question. I agree with what you say, but my concern is this:
    Online buyers tend to trust a sort of "expert" opinion. What if a buyer clicks at my profile, and finds that I have written articles on chairs as well as cellphones. I can't be an "expert" at both, can I? (this is what the visitor will think, even though I can write good articles on both).

      You could be seen as an expert reviewer.

    DIVERSIFY I say.

    I'm an expert in lots of things - including structured settlemenets, doctor who, guitars and guitarists.  Oh yes, and pubic hair.

    Far from putting clients off, I am having plenty of clients ask me to write things for them AND post the articles on hubpages.  I have a policy of doing this into my own account so I get the revenue unless they insist they have an account.

    And before you worry about odd topics putting them off, I got 3 paying clients (on very serious topics) who paid me to write and publish hubpages for them (in my name account) from my pubic hair hub, and when my corporate newsletter went out to clients at Christmas, more people clicked to look at that hub than any other link provided!

    I've even had one client email me and ask to have work written by the "pubic hair writer".  Hmm now methinks there's a reputation that's a bit odd but it's generating money...

    @Darkside
    @Julie-Ann Amos,

    Thank you for your your valuable inputs.
    I guess the weight of opinion is in favour of persisting with the current profile.
