Cyclists are dangerous

   Okay, so maybe not all, but a LOT. Why do cyclists think they are exempt from the laws of the road? Don't they know that a red light means STOP? Not stop unless you are a cyclist. Having nearly been run over by an idiot cyclist who crossed the red light I am in a mood to belt the lot of them. The road cameras shouldn't just fine cars who speed or cross red lights. They should fine cyclists who think they have some divine right on the road. And he dared to try and argue, so not only was he dangerous but stupid too. Anyway. Rant over! Just had to get it out!!!!

      On our road it is the cars that are dangerous, not stopped at the crossing but just flying through with no regard for anyone crossing, even children. I will never allow my son to cycle on this road, well not for as long as I can stop him anyway. As for the actual cyclists, well they have just been cracked down upon for cycling on the path (everyone was doing it, even mature adults). It didn't bother me though as lon as they didn't bump into me, which they never did.

   I agree, too many cyclists abuse road rules and then cry blue murder if a motorist cuts them up.

   It winds me up actually. I am trying to teach my four year old how to cross the road, and he has asked me various times, why did that man/woman go when it was red. I started off by saying I am sure they didn't mean to, they must have not noticed. Now I say because they don't know how to behave on the road, and that is exactly what he mustn't do when he is on his bicycle. And yes there are reckless car drivers, and yes they should be punished because they are dangerous too, but why should cyclists be exempt? I used to have sympathy for them because I felt they were a bit got at by car drivers/lorry drivers, but not anymore. And I am sick of being told to ride a bloody bike aswell. I think Boris should provide bicycles that have a sensor at the front that simply stops the bike when a light goes red, regardless if the person keeps pedalling. Would LOVE to see that! Any inventors out there?
