After giving how many comments on hubs i will get comment Accolade on my profile ?
You really only need to comment if you feel like it is worthy of it - because you enjoy it, or you disagree with it or if you have something to add. Dont comment because you want a reward. I would hate to think that people are only commenting on my content because they want accolades. If people are doing this, it renders the whole accorlade totally fake - a reward for nothingness!
I don't think there is a simple answer to that. If you comment regularly on hubs, you should get the Accolade. If you stop commenting on hubs, you could well end up losing it again.
I think you have the wrong idea about this issue mate!
If you are only commenting on other people's hubs for the sole purpose of gaining a 'good boy' pat on your bum.. then you are clearly not genuine in the comments that you make... are you?
Do you even bother to read the hubs that you comment on?
This whole experience is not about collecting gold stars...
I agree with you Pearldiver. Also, I would like to add that commenting on the forums is a good idea, but repeatedly giving incorrect answers to even basic questions is a bad idea. Better slow down and let things work their natural magic.
As you can see from my avatar... a 'pat on the bum' can sometimes backfire
lol..can see that but wow..what an original face lol
Good reply from Pearldiver. It can get pretty frustrating to get emailed on a comment to a recent hub only to find the comment completely irrelevant or spam with links.
"Leaves many insightful comments on hubs," that is what it says.
Good news is that you have received it yourself.
oh.....cool? I guess thats good. But...half the people are here for money, does that earn you more money? and the other half are here for other reasons...this feels very much like high school.....
I am guessing accolades are good for you somehow. I didn't know that I had one. Im not sure what they are for, to earn money or to get points in a popularity contest?
No, not the money. The only accolade that is relevant to making money is the one for pageviews. It is more to give people a sense of accomplishment, I'd say - to make them feel their contributions are noted and appreciated.
I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it, but I think that was the intention. One type of feedback that is quite valuable is that you can see under "My account" what kind of feedback you got on your hubs - funny, useful and so on. The rest here is more about cosmetics.
That's very much my feeling, when I got my first the other day I thought "wow" somebody knows I'm here, in six months I probably won't even give accolades another thought.
I wrote an awesome reply then accidentaly backspaced and it dissapeared. let me paraphrase...(I hate typing)
cool they made that type of thingy for people who like it. Makes sense from the business end of it anyway you look at it. HP is owned by somebody... ya know?
I guess on some level everybody likes to know they are noticed.
Ive got three sick kids and have to go now. Its been fun!

So I just discovered I am a level III commentor. Is that good, like, am I working my way up to be a black belt commentor? When did commenting start getting graded?

Why isn't there an accolade for best comments ever?Hubpages wants us to be more active here as well as writing hubs. Imagine the amount of comments that would be made if Hubpages awarded us for comments. I like commenting but it takes away from the time to write hubs. Writing hubs makes money....

Why is it that some writers do not respond to individual comments on their hubs?I noticed this with some writers who have been on HP for two years or more. They will choose to respond directly to some comments and ignore the others. Doesn't it make you feel like not commenting on these writers...
