Anyone have comments on today's Super Bowl? I thought it was a well matched and very exciting game, down to the end. Great to see Joe Namath at the end, too!

MM, I thought it was great. What a roller coaster ride. I was just writing a hub about it, but then it took a turn towards my children and sports so I thought i'd take a break for a moment. I loved the second half of the game, it was pretty boring and one sided until then. I love a close game. I was pretty disappointed in the commercials thought this year. I had heard that because of the economy there would not be as many advertisers this year but I really didn't except it to be so few new ones.

I'm with you, G-mom. I hate a rout. My husband likes his teams to win big, big big. I much prefer close games. And this one was a real rollercoaster ride in the 2nd half. I loved that return by the Steelers' #92 (and then he needed oxygen)! And some really exciting TDs on both teams. It could have gone into OT which would have been interesting. Anyway, a great game. Even with two teams I don't care all that much about, a nicely executed game.
Now we go into withdrawal till next season...

I guess I'm not much of a pure football fan any more. If the Pats had been there, I would have been glued. These guys? I could care less.

For me, winter is just the time between the World Series and Spring Training, so I can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report!

Only 11 more days...I can't wait, either.  I agree...I don't really follow football very closely -- because of my job, I have to pay at least some attention to it, but I don't get terribly excited.  It fills the time between the end of October and the middle of February.  That said, last night's game was a good one -- I actually found myself enjoying the game this year.

    Now...how 'bout them Cubbies?

So funny. Diehard baseball fans look at winter as their dead time. Diehard football fans go into mourning in February. Although my Hubby likes both, he's definitely more of a football guy. And I agree, our teams didn't make it all the way this year. But in a way that made us able to enjoy the showmanship and sportsmanship of yesterday's game even more. Both teams played well but for different reasons. Some AWESOME running. A down to the wire ending.

For those who are true Cubbies fans, I truly wish you luck this year. It's time!

Great 4th quarter.  I was pulling for Arizona, but that final touch down catch was great.  Definitely was an exciting game.

The game was better than I had anticipated.  I didn't think that Pittsburgh will score on a lot of points on Arizona because they're not an offensive power.  But I didn't expect Arizona to have a pretty good shot of winning either because of Pittsburgh's defense.

Even though the Raiders have sucked ass the last decade, I miss football already!

I just received an email from someone through hubpages. When I tried to respond to the message, it turned out to be a bad email address. I found his remarks offensive, and the fact that he didn't even respond to a forum post makes him a coward. Here's what he wrote:
