How do you delete an answer someone wrote

    Some one wrote a very rude answer to one of my questions and i cant figure out how to delete it

      you can't delete a answer but you can flag it or vote it down for once. If a certain answer gets a lot of negative marks from different hubber the hubpage team will remove it and the answer will no longer be displayed.

        No, it is not possible to flag an answer; only the question can be flagged.

          Can't she delete her own question - and that will then delete the answers ?

            She can close the question to further replies, but she cannot delete her question. Contacting HubPages is an option, they should be able to delete the whole thing if they so choose.

      you cannot delete the answer of the question you post.Only the user that give the answer can edit that answer .

        the answer is available for editing only for 5 minutes.

    You can't delete answers to questions posted in the Answer section.

    That's weird!  There was nothing bad or offensive about the question or about any of the answers when I read them.  I guess the OP was overly sensitive.

    If you go to the OP's profile, it says that the question was removed by a moderator. I guess she didn't like the answers she got and reported something to HP.

    Take what you can get when you post to a public forum type deal. oh well
