    Hello,

I have been on hubpages for a little over a year now and have read stories of people earning $1,000 a month from their hubs. Can anyone give me some suggestions to get to that goal? I have 27 hubs.

*Sadly, due to the nazi Google police being on this forum, I can not share my stats with the hubpage community as I had intended*

Any advice or help would be great. Thanks!

      Hi
This is all about quantity and quality. If people are earning thousands you can be pretty sure that they have written hundreds of Hubs.
Most people will also make something like 80% of their money from just a couple of Hubs. Most of the ones you write will only earn pennies if anything at all. But you can't know which ones will make good money in advance. Sometimes you won't even know until you have waited 8 months or a year for your hubs to age naturally and move up in the Search Rankings.
With 27 Hubs you could strike it luck and make money, but i would suggest trying to write at least 100 Hubs.
Write them on different topics too because you need to experiment to see which ones will make money.
You could also read this guide that covers keyword research and writing articles to make money: http://hubpages.com/t/19ef2d

This came up in another post and I went out to Google Adsense's TOS and cut and pasted this.

I only bolded the relevant parts:

    7.  Confidentiality. You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent. "Google Confidential Information" includes without limitation: (a) all Google software, technology, programming, specifications, materials, guidelines and documentation relating to the Program; (b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Property performance in the Program provided to You by Google; and (c) any other information designated in writing by Google as "Confidential" or an equivalent designation. However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program . Google Confidential Information does not include information that has become publicly known through no breach by You or Google, or information that has been (i) independently developed without access to Google Confidential Information, as evidenced in writing; (ii) rightfully received by You from a third party; or (iii) required to be disclosed by law or by a governmental auth

KCC Big Country,  I was asking for advice and instead you give me  some legal mumbo jumbo about how I'm not supposed to post certain information regarding my google ad sense account. When did my freedom of speech become restricted? (Maybe I did get Google's written permission beforehand, how would you know?) Nice to see that you automatically assume things. I suppose you get paid by google to be the hubpage forum police on this type of stuff?  Regardless, thank you for sharing your helpful insights, the appropriate changes have been made!

KCCBigcountry was merely telling you that you could get into trouble and Aficionada has specifically shown what happens when you post information like that.
I have no advice to offfer too!! smile  as I am just learning the ropes here !!

Whoa, whoa, whoa........I didn't ASSUME anything!  I was just cutting to the chase for what Afficionada was sending you to look at.  They are trying to tell you the same thing.  You only have a short window of time to edit your post and remove the TOS violation.  You could have lost your Adsense account over it.  I don't need your thanks, but I sure don't need your criticism either.

Freedom of speech has nothing to do with a confidential business agreement between you and Google Inc. I assume you have read what you signed up for? If not then read it carefully because it is VERY difficult to get another AdSense account.

You didn't.  Simple as that.  If you had, you would have gone to great pains to explain how and why Google was allowing that, because it would be more than extremely unusual for them to do so.

I am yet to actually meet someone who has had Google's permission. So am I incorrect in assuming that you haven't?

Here we have a likable Hubber, KCC, who is doing you a favor and you've gone off the deep end. Nice work!

So this is the only comment I am posting in this thread.

Additionally, the reason I cut and pasted the EXACT wording was because I had just been challenged on what it said over the weekend.  See this post:  http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/54553?p … ost1243439

      Challenged?

      smile

No, you were not challenged.  Rather the opposite, I think.  I was agreeing with you and simply pointing out that Google is a bit silly about the traffic part because it can be so easily deduced from publicly available sources.

KCC Big Countryposted 13 years agoin reply to this

I felt the need to go straight to the source and cut and paste it rather than split hairs with anyone on the philosophy behind it and how fair or  unfair it is.  In the end, it doesn't matter what we think about it, it's their rule and we have to play by it if we want to continue to enjoy the income.

ForexCashBack, if there is anything I assumed about you, it's that you wanted to keep your Adsense account.  I was only trying to help you do that.  I'm sorry you felt like I was pointing a finger at you and tattling on you or something.

Aficionadaposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Good assumption, I think; and I would certainly want people to help me keep my account, if they saw that I had done something that might cause me to lose it.  My assumption (!) is that FCB got defensive because he didn't really understand the possible  ramifications of his first post.  Oh well.

I'm guessing that is the case as well, but I certainly didn't appreciate the comeback when I was only trying to help.

And how!!  I didn't appreciate it on your behalf.

You gave a very temperate and rational response to him, I thought - definitely the high road.

You can only please some of the people some of the time Big Country. You have to gain an inner satisfaction that you helped because some people don't get it.

Just to clarify what people are saying here, Google can ban you for posting your account details, and chances are you will not be able to get another Adsense account.

But, to get back to the point of your post, you can earn $1000 a month, however,

You will need to write a LOT more hubs, 27 might earn you a little, but not much.  From your hub titles I am also going to suggest a little bit of keyword research for traffic values.

The good thing about what you have done is you seem to be covering a lot of technical terms and bases very well, that means that you are entering some low competition areas, with possible high profits.  However are people searching for the terms in your title?

I have not checked this out myself, but a little research can help you find your strengths and weaknesses.

Maybe I read this wrong, but why would anyone help someone who acts like that?

IMO, if someone talked to me like that I wouldn't have given them the advice....bye bye Adsense. Know what you are doing before you start criticizing and when you ask for help say, "Thank you!" "Thanks!" "Gracias!" or whatever, but don't come back with some brash comment. According to your profile and name, it looks like you are in the Forex business. I really don't see why it's even necessary for you to write on Hubpages....again, just my opinion.

Thanks for all of your help to everyone in here that has answered my posts. It's much appreciated. Even when I don't understand you all are down to help!

Maybe some are kinder and more patient than you. That would be a normal reaction, I agree. But some people get past that and keep helping. I don't think that is so wrong. smile

I think you should do the research for the keywords. Choose the high paying keywords and than use it on your hub tittle. Don't forget to put it also in your first or second paragraph.
    Wish you the best.
