I've been watching the fireworks in the forums and it's made me lonely because I didn't want to join in on those discussions.

Anyone around wanting a friendly chat?

How's October treating you? Has Christmas started for your hubs?

    No improvement with adsense.

Amazon -good so far. I expect more this month.

Other affiliate networks - No change.

skyfire - straight down to business big_smile. My Amazon is great this month but still no toys so might just be natural growth rather than the Christmas rush.

Hello there DoorMattnomore - what do people abbreviate your name to? Or don;t they? It just seems way too wrong to call you Door - or Doormat.
Test went fine, thanks for asking. It was really not fun as I have to wear a restraint round my neck and my head was in a sort of cage thing to keep it totally still. Won't get results for about a month, but I am getting more confident it will be nothing to worry about. I'm feeling spiritual at the moment and well looked after.

you can call me DM.  wink but any other shortnening you wish is fine with me, Ive seen DMNM, Door, Justine works too.

Im glad your test is over and you survived it fine. Im also glad your not getting too worked up about the results.

Hey Spacey, I would like to let you know, that I reported your thread, so as to move it to the Hubber's Hangout forum thread.

General chat shouldn't be located in HubPages Knowledge Exchange, unless you're specifically asking a question about that.

Don't be upset and don't start another thread on the same topic somewhere else, because HubPage Staff will move the thread.

It's nice to see you out and about the forums. smile

Man, I NEVER notice the topic. Could be why I keep getting sucked into religion...

You would think I would learn to look by now?

Out of curiousity, what role does the topic play? Is it just a matter of orginization within the site, or does it have something to do with search engines?

      1. Cagsil profile image70
Cagsilposted 13 years agoin reply to this

The HubPages forums, many of them are listed on the search engines. Generalized chat and the "sandpit" are not that I know of.

By not categorizing forum topics properly, it clutters the search engines with junk. The forums themselves have a PR4 or PR5, which is higher than most hubs.

These topics should be on topic. Things not related only hurt HubPages' overall rank. So, in essence, I would think it hurts HubPages.

I had my finial meeting with the council and they decided to give me a warning and give me a new location for my job so I am still the lollipop lady smile
I will start back up after the half term holiday at the end of the month so I am trying to kit my store out as much as I can before then, maybe afterwards I will re-focus on my hubs and increase my earnings here too smile

    at least you get fish
my husband fishes in rivers and that means that he does not bring the fish home- they get put back in the river so that they can be caught the next time. We have a large number of polish people in our city and they eat the river fish (perch) as a bit of a delicacy, which upsets the indigenous fishermen!

How's it going?  I have almost finished some beadwork, which is all because the forums got so freekin boring and weird and religious - but I still come around to look see, just cuz I can't believe the self-righteous will continue to take over for long.  Therefore - enjoying this beautiful fall day of sunshine and not looking forward to the rains that will be here soon enuf - then probably the fun folks will be back to play in the forums all day.

    I can talk under concrete,
    My mouth never stops,
    It starts in the morning,
With my bowl of Rice Pops.

I have tried to be quiet,
But my lips start to move,
    The words just keep rolling,
As I get in the groove.

It is worse in the shower,
As my voice starts to sing,
    My neighbor Hugh Jass,
    He hears everything.

To the end I will chatter,
In the grave where I'll lie,
For I can't stop my waffling,
    It's what gets me by.

You may say I am crazy,
And you may not be wrong,
But as my heart bubbles over,
    As the words come along.

    the day drove us on

    singing we met the night

    song!

and then in the light of a big orange moon
we designed to meet another year
    same place
    same day

and then the three foxes went on
    their merry way!

    but I had to stay
so that is why I'm here today

    No doubt you jest
and wonder why I speak of foxes
    moons, Christmas and
