Is any one making handcrafted gifts for Christmas? It is hard to believe Christmas is so close.

Agree with some family members to only give handcrafted or homemade gifts this Christmas. Its great fun, everyone enjoys it. We allow a maximum of $5 per gift to buy materials (paper, card, glue, ingredients etc). Oh, it must all be kept top secret too. We introduced a new rule this year whereby you cannot repeat last years gift. I had always made fancy cakes but will have to come up with something new this year.

That is a good idea, not repeating the gift keeps you on your toes, though.
One year for Christmas I made small picture albums for gifts, nothing fancy but the family loved them.

I am... I am going to knit all my gifts this year... I did it a couple of years ago and everyone seemed to appreciate it. YIKES, I guess I wasn't realizing how little time is left! I gotta get knittin!

A 9 month layoff pretty much dictates some hand made gifts.  I made some neat wooden photo displays last year for family, but will have to come up with something different this year.

I suck at crafts.  They've had some really great sales this year so I've been buying real early (early for me!) for Christmas gifts.

Have to admit, it takes less time to buy crafts made by others, i don't have the time to make them myself.

we did that at work one year, it was fun but we didn't have a cap on it. It was fun but I don't know if we could do it every year.
