I've just signed up to the 30 day vegetarian challenge and am only on day 2 and I need my meat!!
I walked past the Deli and the fresh smell of roasted beef steak with chilli and greek salad almost made me collapse with hunger... I don't think I can carry on..
So I'm leaving now to get my dose of meat otherwise I'll have to write a hub of my untimely death due to lack of meat!!
Have you ever tried so hard to resist something soo good? what was the result of it?
The key is to make everything you eat delicious. Willpower will only get you so far.
ok i guess that means am offically dead.. goodbye everybody
Don't give up, Jasmine. Maybe it would be easier to ease yourself off the meat (no dirty jokes please) gradually, instead of going 'cold turkey'..pun intended.
Have a little less meat each day, and more veggies and fruit etc. instead. Convince yourself you can get by just fine without meat...of course you can! Just keep saying no, and sooner or later you'll believe it.
You'll feel better too..maybe even lose some weight (if you find that a problem). Good luck!
My wife is vegan (No meat or dairy) and I don't think I could do that. It worked really well for her though!
I went completely cold turkey once and it didn't really bother me. After all, I was already eating very little meat.
Perhaps what timorous said will help you. Just a little at a time. (BTW, so hard not to make a joke. ) I used to joke, as a vegetarian, I only ate two kind of meat. I'm going to refrain from saying any more.

Why do some vegetarians eat fish and eggs? I am a meat eater but have always curious about this. Wouldn't fish and other types of seafood be a meat? Wouldn't eggs be considered as an unborn chicken? I even know some people who claim to be vegetarians and eat chicken.

What are your arguments against a vegetarian diet?
by arpitme 12 years ago
I believe yes, because killing is itself a violent act and if it is involved in the process of making food, it will definitely makes them more violent.

Did you become a vegetarian, if so, why?

There is nothing more annoying than encountering a pushy, preaching vegetarian sort who criticizes me for being human. I love meat and I won't tolerate people telling me what I can and can't eat. I don't mind a person eating leaves for dinner, but since it's against the natural order of things,...

Have you seen the documentary 'Food Inc' about the food industry in America? It was on tv here late at night recently. I bought a copy of the DVD so my husband could watch it. I am wondering if many other people have seen it, and what was your reaction?
