I heard once that heaven was this big room with a massively enormous bowl of stew and an equally large spoon with everyone working together to get the stew in the spoon so everyone eats. Hell on the other hand is a big room with a massive big bowl of stew and massive big spoon and everyone fighting over who gets to try to use this big spoon (too big for any one person) so that everyone starves. I rather thought that it sounded apt smile

Actually, it is where we all are now. Yes, both places. Each person unto their individual circumstances and to varying degrees.

As external locations, one in the sky, one underneath somewhere, I believe in neither - and consider these ideas to be childish superstitions and no more.

According to the Bible, Jesus was reported as explaining that heaven or hell are conditions created within a person's own mind.  A contemporary psychologist would probably agree.
