I just come across a hub where he has copied and pasted my thumbs up words.

'If You Like This... Please Give me a Thumbs Up Below! Just Click on the Green Oval.

    Rate it 'UP'!!!

'Share it' with Twitter, Facebook, Digg....

    Spread the Love!!!'

To <snipped - please do not call out users in the forums> on your 50 article website .. I am happy for people to take an idea of mine and make it your own - even make it better, but not to use my idea - word for word.

Hi, shaz, I know how you feel! I have been on the hunt this week as well, a girl on Gather site stole my hub, about thanks hubpages etc, only she changed the word hubpages to Gather! it wasn't even relevant to her site! duh! so I told all her fans in great big capital letters! then moaned to Gather, then reported it to google, because of the ads! but I got about 4 still copied now, but I am sorting them out. the stupidest of the lot was a while ago, they even said my name at the bottom, Nell Rose copyright! and their name was something like jane! duhhh!

Your situation is a lot worse than my insignificant winge - I hope it all gets sorted out, Nell.  It is a problem, isn't it?

I'm guilty of taking that idea too, not from you but from another clever hubber.  I of course didn't copy word for word and I made it an image.  Having it as an image keeps me from having to retype it for every hub. You can see what I have done at the bottom of all of my new hubs and I'm making time to go back to the older non performing hubs to add some more content as well as my new images.

I dont have a problem with adopting an idea - it is the sincerest form of flattery - just to copy it word for word.  It just got right up my nose!

Shaz, in your position I would've emailed Jack01 and pointed out that you regard your "sign-off" as your personal signature and asked him to remove it.

It obviously matters to you, but if I created something similar, it wouldn't really worry me if people copied it.  So perhaps he didn't realise you'd be upset.  After all, it's only a few lines - he's not stealing your content.

I wouldn't worry about it. I see this on many hubs and articles throughout the web. it doesn't necessarily mean someone copied and pasted it. it's pretty common webspeak.

No... it was obviously copied and pasted.  I dont have a problem with using an idea and making it their own... not word for word with all the spaces in exactly the same spaces and the same amount of exclaimation marks.  I mean... this was copied word for word, dot for dot, exclaimation mark to exclaimation mark.

Im not worried about it, but it is like my signiture piece.

      Oh well, *sigh*, whatever.

Flag it and let the admin know what happened, someone else got booted off for doing what he did.

No, they copied URL's, titles and capsule headings.  This person has copied Shaz's "sign-off" sentence and thumb's up image that she uses on her Hubs.
