    Hi--
I've had Google Ad Sense on my Hubs for a few months, now.  Tonight, I was editing a hub, and something has changed.  ALL of the ad settings that used to appear above the editing section are GONE!  Poof!  Disappeared!

In another forum post, I had asked about the low earnings from Google. ... like only 68 cents in the "all time" report--in the entire time I've had it active.  The remaining $3. came from one of my blogs!

I have no way to set ads, and when I signed OUT, and visited my hubs as an 'anonymous' visitor, there are no ads appearing on any of my hubs!

What gives????  I've received no kind of notice telling me that ads have been disabled on my account for any reason....  I'm baffled.

(Tonight, I also signed up for Amazon affiliate program, so I don't expect to see anything in the way of results from there, yet.)

They moved the ad settings to the right sidebar. Right above keywords, click on 'settings'.

    Hello DzyMsLizzy,

First of all I'd recommend going into edit mode on a hub, clicking 'settings' on the right and then making sure adverts are set to 'high' and 'This hub may be considered commercial' are on.

If that doesn't help I'd recommend contacting the team immediately:
    http://hubpages.com/contact_us/

I had a look at your hubs while signed out and couldn't see adverts either. This is very strange and I doubt most of them would break adsense policies in any way.

You should definitely have more money than that by now. Email the team.

I see some ads on your page, but no big ads like there usually is. Have you checked to make sure you haven't accidentally set the ad level to low?

I have my ad level set to "medium."  A great many of my hubs are poetry.  Nothing 'commercial' about them in any way shape or form, so no, I don't set those to 'high' or 'commercial.'

        .
Set all your hubs to commercial.

        Set all ads to high.

You have nothing to lose by doing this that I know of.smile

Ok--I am willing to do this on all but the poetry hubs.  Those, I don't want interrupted by ad blocks--I feel it distracts from the 'word pictures,' and destroys the mood I'm trying to create.

Currently working on changing all the others, though.  ;-)  Thanks

If there are some booby traps about this that I don't know about, hopefully someone will come along and tell us what they are.smile Nothing is simple anymore and you never know...

I admit I'm here to make money. My online writing at this point supplies 100% of my income - mostly from Squidoo and blogging. I'm here at HubPages to diversify and ... turns out I love this site!

So, when I post my poetry, I'll definitely be turning the ads on "High" as it thrills me to think I could actually earn some money from the poems.. or short stories.

This is just a form of non-traditional payment that will probably, someday, be THE way for creative writers to be paid for their efforts. I don't think we should have to give our creative writing efforts away for free. HubPages provides a great alternative!
