It's maddening, and you almost feel it is your fault.
    What do you do?

Go out and have fun and let him stew in his own misery until he's ready to have a grown up discussion about the problem.

Talk to him about what is bothering you.  If he doesn't respond positively and act to change his behavior then move on.

It's not worth it if your boyfriend is rude and blames you.

    First, end the relationship.

Second, reflect whether this has happened in previous relationships with other partners or friends.

If you see a pattern of behaviors, and you are the common factor, then you must look at yourself truthfully and decide what is causing their reactions.  A question to ask yourself:  what am I doing each time to receive this response.

If you do not see a pattern, then you are not the cause of the problem and ending the relationship was a good decision.

From what I have seen of your writings in your hubs and in the forums, I would have to say that this is not your fault.  Let him go.  He has issues and must resolve them with his own will without hurting others around him.  You will feel all the better once you have cut the ties with him.  Be strong and take a step towards a future which holds a happier relationship for you.  Best of luck!

yeah, i think after reading everyone's responses here, i would say that beth has offered the best advice thus far. it sounds like the guy is just a straight up jerk, to me, and if i were you, i'd dump him immediately.  sure, breaking up with someone is never easy, but it'll only get harder the longer you wait though...
