Capsule title are important also. Hope it is also acting like keywords. When your hubs are appearing in search engine pages , you can see some of the hubs appearing with short details of your capsule title also.

I never use the title field in the capsules. I type the text in the capsule and bold it. I don't know if it makes any difference.

I don't  now about the search engines, but I know most readers appreciate it if you break your hub up with capsules and subtitles.

I would say the title is more important than the capsule title.

It is very important for SEO. Capsule titles are included in h2 tags. Search engines give higher importance to these tags, much more than bold tags. I would suggest using it whenever possible.

Excellent . this is exactly the answer I was looking for . Thanks . I guess h1 tags are not allowed on HP ?

h1 is the title of the whole hub actually. So, you can only have one h1 tag. Do not worry about SEO. I see that the hubs are already optimized well.

Title is much more important. 2nd only to url.

But not using subtitles or capsule titles is throwing away an easy opportunity to reinforce your keywords to the SE's. The spiders give extra credit to keywords within the text that are in H2 format.

Plus it's just reader-friendly in hubs of any length to break up your subtopics.

Hubpages On Page SEO  (just look at the checklist)

I tried to evaluate the on page factors that we can control at HP

H2 is important - not using them has no doubt hurt you, UW, it would be advisable to rectify your use of bold/h2

Thanks for letting me know, I didn't know that. Guess I'll be doing a little editing smile

Luckily, I'm only been avoiding capsule titles for about a year...
