My question is how many hubs did you publish before you started seeing daily clicks and where they backlinked or not?

The reason I'm asking this is becuase I've written a few hubs, but I havent gotten around to backling them all yet, and was wondering if people had got to a certain number of hubs and started getting daily clicks without backlinks.

Now, if your wondering if I'm asking this because I don't want to backlink then your wrong. I still am going to backlink all of my hubs adleast with 4 links, I,m asking the question because I wont have time to backlink until a few months.

Hope it makes sense. And look foward to the replies.

There is not way of determining how consistent clicks will be for each person because each topic and overall content varies...

I'd say get up to 100 hubs and see how you are doing with clicks daily....I get clicks everyday now, but the value varies so much....

Note: The most successful hubbers on here make between 400-1200 dollars and have at least 500 hubs published( well most of them)

Some people are SEO experts and might get 100s of clicks daily with only a 100 hubs

You'll see a lot of people say they don't backlink at all and get plenty of pageviews.  I'd say backlink when you get around to it.

Well, my plan is to write 50 hubs, look wich one's rank the highest in google and backlink them first.

I just ran to look at a few of your hubs and the only suggestion I have is that you may want to consider lengthening them just a bit.  They seem a little short.  I have some short hubs too, but I do find that my hubs with over 800 words do tend to do better.  Just an idea.

Yes, thanks for the advice it really does help me, and I definitly need to improve the lenght of my hubs, but  I also think a lot more needs to improve before I can start getting clicks and traffic, including very basic things like grammer, better titles etc etc.

And thanks for the welcome KCC.

I got started with backlinking straight away so I’m not sure how well traffic would do with out it, but I recommend you start backlinking before you get to 50 hubs other wises it's going to become a bit of a daunting task to do, once you get started and realise how long each one takes.

Hello Victoria, I realize that it will be a big task but when i get to 50 hubs, I'm going to look at wich one's are ranking the best in google and only consentrate on linking them.

But your Google ranking has a lot to do with how many backlinks you have, so I'm not sure that is a good gauge to go by.

Let's be sure to distinguish between backlinks and self created backlinks.

I get many thousands of backlinks, but I don't create them.  They are entirely organic - I have never traded links or even asked anyone to link to me.

THOSE backlinks are the ones that are most valuable to SEO, but the only way you can get them is by writing content that people find interesting or useful or funny or have SOME reason to make other people aware of it.

Self created backlinks generally have much less value.  If you work hard at it, you might sometimes convince Google that a few of the backlinks you created yourself are actually the other kind, but that's not as easy as some here would have you think and you cannot create the really powerful links like those from Wikipedia and other important sites.  You have to earn those, but if you do, they are worth many thousands of the other kind.

I don't really backlink. I tweet my hubs and that's about it.

I think I started to get a click a day around 50-75 hubs and it improves a lot with hub aging too.

      Good to know - thanks!

Currently at 38 Hubs and only a click here and there - nothing daily (by a wide margin)...

But than again I'm more focused on Amazon.

I actually get the most clicks on Adsense on my Product Hubs.

So I'd definitely recommend leaving the adsense top right - it weeds out the 'non buyers' and 'buyers' will go further down the page.

          Thanks for the advice!

I'm planning to go for both with this kind of layout:
          Adsense
Amazon products 1 line (2 capsules next to each other)
          Adsense
Text with adsense on the right

This way I have Adsense + Amazon above the fold.

How may hubs published before daily clicks?

I would say that I was around 40-50 hubs. However, my avenue for the clicks is going to be different than many others.

A lot of my clicks come off of my A-List Celebrity Hubs, which average about 1000 views a day.

I have backlinked some of them to my Blog, but not all of them. I have some backlinked to FB(but these are nofollow links).

I began getting daily clicks at about my 4-5 month on HubPages. I did my first 30 hubs in my first month and half(I think).

So it looks like hubbers with good SEO knowledge will get daily clicks even with short number of hubs.

Well it's not just about SEO knowledge, it's about traffic.

There's low quality traffic and high quality traffic.

Low quality might be to computer game hubs - the visitors have banner blindness because they are online so much.

Higher quality might be people who don't use the internet much and are more likely to notice and click adverts - such as older people or young teens.

The number of hubs is irrelevant.  The search engines don't look at your hub profile and how many hubs you have, they look at each hub as an individual entity on this high ranking site.  One hub can get traffic as can one hundred.  Age helps of course, but what the topic is and whether lots of searches are made is the main thing.

I've created 16 hubs, have been working aggressively to create backlinks and getting many visitors now but still not getting daily clicks. A lucky day for me is the day when I get at least a single Adsense click!

What's "many visitors" and where did they come from?

If they are from HP, they aren't ad clickers.  It's  Search that brings people who will click on ads.

It's content and numbers.  If your content isn't suitable for ads, you won't get good ads.  But even if it is, you still need lots of traffic.  If you expect to earn $1,000 from Adsense, you will usually  need something around 200,000 Search visitors or more.  That's just how it is.  Unusual content can bring those figures down some, but more often you'll need even more.  And again - Search visitors, not regular readers, not fans, not friends.

You're right, but I've seen a growth in visitors coming to my hubs through Google search in past few months. The thing is that I can better write informational hubs, but thanks for your guidance, much appreciated!

A trick I have always used is using 2 websites - Onlywire and Ping.fm.

Sign up with all of the sites that these two sites can instantly bookmark and post too, and get the browser add on's.

After you publish your hub you can simply bookmark and social media post to hundreds of sites, with two clicks.

If you build up your followers on these sites as well you can get a nice boost in early traffic.

    There both free of course.

    I hope this helps
