   FINALLY  — A great alternative to body scanners at airports . . .
    
   The  Israelis are developing an   airport  security device   that eliminates  the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners at the  airports.
    
   It’s a booth you can step into that will not X-ray you,  but will detonate any explosive device you may have on  you.
   They  see this as a win-win for everyone, with none of this crap about racial  profiling.
   It  also would eliminate the costs of a long and expensive  trial. 
   Justice  would be swift.
   Case  closed!
    
   You're in the   airport terminal   and you hear a muffled explosion.  Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system . . . "Attention  standby passengers — we now have a seat available on flight number 1234.  Shalom!"
    
   Hats off to the Israelis!!!!

      As a frequent flyer, every week in and out of airports this would be the ideal solution!
      
      The new scanners suck! For those of us who cannot lift our arms over our head, have metal in our body, or other / additional disabilities that prevent us from going through the scanners easily believe me these new lovelies are really hard. If you say to TSA I cannot do what you are asking they perform their nice pat down, it isn't pleasant. If you aren't obviously disabled they challenge your statements of disability (I carry a medical statement).
      
      Really, this one would work out just fine for me!

    this is nonsense. I happen to recall that people could have blown up airplanes or crashed them into buildings since the days of the wright brothers.
    
    ... but it hardly ever happened.
    
    I also recall that someone could easily just hide somewhere with a rifle and just start picking people off. Among countless other horrible things that people could do.
    
    Why are we giving our government the power to rape us for our safety?
