A story from A to Z by 26 Hubbers

   We can all write, right? Lets try to create a story whereby we each write a single sentence beginning with the letters of the alphabet in chronological order. I write a sentence beginning with A. Next Hubber creates next sentence beginning with B, next with C and so on. Only one sentence per Hubber allowed. Can we create a story that makes any sense at all? I think we can, so here goes. What is interesting is that we will not be able to give the story a title until its finished as we don't know yet if it will work or where the story will lead. Hopefully I get 25 to respond.
   
   A young boy was walking to school and thinking about the day ahead.

      The story so far...
      
      A young boy was walking to school and thinking about the day ahead.
      But he was worried about not having finished his homework.
      "Can I get this done in time", he wondered.
      Darting across the road, the boy considers skipping school today.
      "Everyday was the exact same anyway", he reasoned.
      Fishing was Bob's favorite hobby but he didn't like to go to the lake by himself so he kept looking about for his best friend.
      
      The next (single) sentence must begin with G

         When Bob found his 'friend', Jimmy the bunny, they went to the lake intending to spend the day fishing.  Bunny loved the water but Bob was afraid to go swimming.  Bunny jumped in anyway and dove to the bottom.  A long time had passed and Bob began to worry about his friend.  He paced and paced and finally walked into the water from the edge.  He peered into the water to see if he could see Bunny but what he saw amazed him.  There was a woman down there waving at him to come in.  "Just jump in," she said, her plump cheeks a beacon for the timid boy.  She had a pie in one hand and a strawberry sundae in the other.

   "Good," said the observer of all what had been going on.   He noticed immediately that one of those following the story had got the wrong idea and had not followed on with the appropriate letter.  Still he had done that sort of thing himself from time to time.
