   Here's one to get you started :
   
   
   After a long cold winter’s night an old sparrow was starving and slowly freezing to death and on tiny tired wings he tried his hardest to fly to the warmth and comfort of a nearby cowshed but against the cruel North wind he failed to make any headway and exhausted he crashed head long into the freezing snow.
        
   Lying there breathing his last a dark shadow fell over him as a huge cow passed him by on the way to the milking parlour and as she did so she raised her tailed and dumped a wet one all over the little bird.
   
   As far as the little bird was concerned this just about summed up a life of constant struggle against the elements,  predators and the battle to find enough to eat.  To die covered in cow dung seemed kind of appropriate somehow.
   
   But wait, the cow pat was at least warming, and the heat revived the little fellow and raised new hope to his tiny heart, so much so that he began to sing.
   
   Hearing the sweet bird song the farmyard cat went over to investigate and spotted the tiny bird and pulled him out of the muck... and ate him !!
   
   Lesson One :   It is not always your enemies that drop you in the crap.
   
   Lesson Two:    It is not always your friends that will pull you out.
   
   And the Moral of the tale is:
   
     If you’re in the shit but Happy;  Keep your mouth shut !

   How about this one?
   
   II.    Cinderella
   Stepmom thought, well to her glee,
   as Realdad dropped onto his knee:
   (I’ll call him honey, then spend all his money)
   “For all my raid, I have a maid!”
   When stepmom asked – after many wars –
   if she’d be so kind, as to sweep the floors?
   Cinderella got on her high-heeled slippers,
   arranged her skirt, closed all the zippers
   and at a given point, dropped her booze and joint
   fresh from under the covers and her many lovers,
   laughing like a goat,
   she shoved the mop down stepma’s throat
   filmed the whole thing through
   and put it up on Youtube too.
   
   Moral of the story: you just can’t try that sort of thing with youngsters anymore... But, to have even the moral rhyme, that would make something along the lines of “kids these days, take it from me, just aren’t what they used to be.” And sometimes it’s a damn good thing too.

   I heard a story once about heaven that I would love to hold the seeds of truth in it.
   
   A man dies and wakes to find himself in a green field. Getting up he looks around himself and sees a winding road, off in the distance a great city. He decides to walk this path and on his way his old faithful dog joins him on the path. The man is overjoyed to see his old faithful companion and friend from his old life. Together they walk the path and the city looms closer. The city sparkles and gleams with high towers and spires. As they approach the city there is a pearly gate proclaiming the entrance to the city.
   
   The man and his dog approach the gates and are greeted by the gate keeper. The gate keeper knows the man and tells him he is welcome to enter the city but his dog must stay out, they don't allow pets to dirty their gleaming city.
   
   The man cannot bear to leave his friend and companion to himself and declines to enter the city. Instead he and his friend continue along the path. They enter a quite and peaceful wood and simply enjoy the simple beauty of it for awhile.
   
   After some time they clear the woods and find a farm house and barn with a large pond and garden and an orchard in the back. In the garden an old man is tending to the plants. At seeing the man and his dog the old man gets up from his plants and comes to greet the man and his dog.
   
   The man says that at the city down the road they would not let his dog enter and he could not leave his friend alone in the world. The man says he is worried that he missed his chance to enter heaven and could do with a rest. The old man tells the younger man that they are both welcome, that indeed this is heaven, for no place that bans your friends can ever be called heaven. Had the man entered the city and abandoned his friend he truly would have been in hell.
   
   
   
   I had three dogs growing up and I would love a heaven that means I can see them again
