Yes, I agree that in some cultures cooking is for women only.  I cook mostly for women.

I agree that in some cultures, cooking is only for women. We can never change that belief because it is their culture.

In my family, my dad, brother and husband are better cooks than me! lol! I count myself lucky! smile Both men and women can do it. Aside from that, most women that I know admire men who can cook. If the shortest way to a man's heart is through his stomach, be informed that it is something men and women have in common! Cheers! smile

I am woman and I love cooking but that does not have to be. I like sometimes guy to cook for me and be pampered.

Actually, if you look at many chefs in top restaurants, there are more male chefs compared to female chefs. Cooking is equal opportunity skill.

      Do you cook?

I cook entirely for woman, because I live alone.  Oh, I also sometimes cook for a dog.

My mother always told me never to marry a man who can't cook. My father is an excellent cook - probably better than she is. My husband has a bit more limited a repertoire than I do, but he's very good, too.

I've known some men who couldn't even boil water and I think that's ludicrous. How could any woman respect a man who's as helpless as a baby to fulfill his own basic needs? I certainly couldn't!

lol! I agree with that! Women don't marry to be their man's baby sitter! smile
Men who can cook are sexy.

A Greek mother tells her sons that, if they don't learn to cook, they won't find wives. smile

I love cooking and like to give 'She who Must be Obeyed' a break, sometimes.

I took on the duties of cooking when I was around 12. Raised by a single mom with 2 younger sisters, I felt it was the right thing to do. Mom definately needed a break, and honestly we needed a break from her cooking...lol hope she doesn't read this.

I still do most of the cooking because I enjoy it. One of my favorite things to do is go try out a new restaurant and then later try to recreate the meal, if I enjoyed it the first time around.

I like to cook and I soon discovered that if I wanted to eat what I like to eat, I better be the cook in the house.

Whoever is good in cooking can do it.

Yes in most culture specially in agricultural areas because the men are so tired to do it, plus they go to the fields very early.

I love cooking -- cooking -- cooking so I enjoyed doing it,

My other half and I both cook, depending who feels like it / gets home first, etc.

My father, on the other hand - not only can he burn water, but a tin of baked beans tastes worse if he opens it!

I cook in my house because I have more time for it. BUT I'm also a much better cook - so even when time poor I like to be the one in the kitchen. You only eat 3 meals a day - may as well enjoy them ;-)

I do most of the cooking in my household, but that is because my husband doesn't get home until late. But I have to say that there is nothing more appealing than a man that can cook, especially cook anything and cook it well.  I'd have no problem handing over my apron and spatula!!
