Comments from Nonhubbers

   I really appreciate the comments I receive from hubbers, but I can't help wondering why there are so few comments from nonhubbers. I would think that at least a few readers who find my hubs through Google, especially, would comment. Is it just yours truly, or is this true for all hubbers?

      I get non hubbers commenting also and most  don't  write anything meaningful.I had a bunch of kids using one of my comments box as a forum one day!
      sheesh!
      I appreciate any comment;positive and negative ,though.

      I have recieved almost twice as many Google clicks than HubPages clicks overall. Quite a few come from email where someone sends the link to a friend, but I get more Hubber views than email views.
      
      The nonhubbers don't usually comment, however.

      It seems to be related to the subject of hub you write. Some of my hard hitting political sites get a lot of outside visitors, but still very few comments.

   I get a few. I doubt if they ever come back to look for a reply. At least they spent some time looking at the hub. it's all good.

      The problem is that the comment system here needs email notification for those non-hubbers who comment - and I don't think it's set-up like that here.  I do get some nonhubber comments from time to time, and I do understand how people can forget to return with no reminder.  I've done it myself.

   I think most of my "mean" comments have been made by "outside people" on the same three hubs.  One hub gets me accused of working for a company because the Hub uses a brand name.  The other hub has gotten me accused of being mentally ill (by non-Hubbers, I'm pretty sure).  The third one gets me called (essentially) an idiot (but at least, apparently, a sane one) - also by mainly non-Hubbers as far as I can tell.   Then I've gotten a few "whatever" type remarks here or there.

   I got a decent amount of outside comments on my last hub about cover songs, but overall I think it's about a 4:1 ratio, at least, in favor of hubbers.

   I have several hubs that get commented on daily where all the comments are almost entirely from people not registered with HubPages, but those tend to be offering advice.

   I've noticed more comments from non-Hubbers recently.  I think it's probably a factor of traffic - as you get more outside traffic, it becomes more likely that you'll get comments from outside people.    Nearly all my traffic is from outside HubPages but I'm only up to 75,000 views - if you split that up over my Hubs, it's not a huge amount and then only a small number of people who read will bother to comment.
   
   Relache probably gets thousands looking at her advice Hubs!

   I'd say I get one non hubber comment for every 3 hubber comments, but I don't allow all non hubbers comments. Usually the hater ons, or the insulting one's, or the off topic ones.
   
   I had a comment the other day saying that I must be one of them "Liberal f**ks" (he/she hadn't *'d it) and went off about how liberal's were f*gs and poor. On an article I wrote about the Strangest Laws from around the world!
   
   Strange people.
   
   It's easier and better to get hubbers to comment, there not social retards for a start.

   I've noticed that some commentors are hubbers but appear to be non-hubbers.  I think this happens when they comment via the email notice, rather than logging into the site and then commenting?  Usually, it seems to be newbies that this comes from, but not always.

   I have several hubs that get tons of comments from non-hubbers. In fact, on two of them, nearly all of the comments are from non-hubbers. I think it just depends on the content. I have a hub about timeshare presentations and it is a topic that really gets people angry so there are a ton of comments on there LOL
