Only Getting 10 Cents Per Click

   I know that hubpages is revenue sharing and I won't be getting more $$$ per click than I do with adsense on my own personal websites, but I've been seeing only 10 cents per click when someone clicks my ads.
   
   However, on my own websites - I've been getting up to $3 to $5 per click.  Again, I'm not expecting to get as much per click when someone clicks on an ad on one of my ads - but I would think it would be more than a dime.
   
   This is critical.  I'm thinking about putting more of my articles on Hubpages but if the payout is low - I'll just throw them on my own websites since I can control the meta and title tags.  The reason why I want to put articles on Hubpages is that they usually rank higher in the SERPs than the articles on my own websites.
   
   Any help?

      See it gets time to build up with hubpages . But my personal opinion is dont get discouraged so fast. Keep writing and promoting hubs. The biggest advantage of hubpages is the rate at which google ranks up your hubs because google loves hubpages!!

   There is no revenue sharing. What is being shared are the page impressions, with you getting 60%, HubPages getting 40%. If someone clicks on your ads, you get 100% of the revenue from that.
   
   There is no reason to believe that the revenue per click will be lower here than on your own website, since HubPages is owned by YieldBuild, which aims to optimize advertisement placement and revenue. More, it is a matter of your contents and whom is willing to bid how much for the ads at a given time.

      Can you define impressions for me? My google adsense has been disabled  so that be my only source of revenue. I do have Kontera and Amazon, but neither has been profitable.

         Every time the hub loads, one page impression is generated. This is regardless of the number and type of ad units on the hub.
         
         You need massive traffic to generate substantial income on HubPages, it is about that simple.

               The HubPages statistics will give you a rough idea of how many pageviews you receive. If you want more detailed and accurate information, you can sign up for Google Analytics and tie that to your HubPages account.

   It depends on keywords and advertisers.
   
   I'm sure you realize that some keywords pay big $$$ while others don't, because advertisers are more willing to bid for good keywords.
   
   From what I've heard, you're actually more likely to get the high paying adverts on hubpages, however.
   
   I have clicks that vary anywhere from 10c through to several dollars, depending on the hub.

         Nclark140, go to google keyword search tool and it will tell you the current keywords bidding price. These prices vary from day to day for each keyword.

   Don't make conclusion very quickly. Post the same niche in hubpages that you have been posted in your website. Make channels and see the results.

         Channels are a way to track AdSense income. If your account has been disabled, they won't be of any help to you.

   My average hubpages click is 7-8 cents. I made $225.04 on Hubpages yesterday. To be fair, my yesterday clicks were about 11 cents.

   yes. you can take the profit from sales on amazon to figure out how much profit you get per click to Amazon.
   
   I make most of my cash from Amazon, but still get a fair chunk from Adsense.  My Adsense ePC is around £0.20 per click. It's pretty hard to get regular earnings over $1 in my experience, I prefer not to shoot for hugely competitive areas.  If you are getting over $1 without having to put a lot of work in to it, well hold on to it!

   I have received clicks anywhere from $.01 to $3.00, but even the average ePC can vary widely.
   
   Interestingly I have seen my ePC go way down (maybe 40%)the last few weeks.  Fortunately, the CTR has gone up, so my ecpm has remained fairly constant.  Increasing traffic has actually produced increased earnings.
   
   Now if someone would kindly change my earnings per click to say, $20, I could change my name to Misha!

   I think some folks may be looking at this the wrong way, and I'm pretty sure one of the Pauls -- Edmondson or Deeds -- alluded to this a while back. It may be easier to make money from Amazon, but it's not necessarily more profitable.
   
   AdSense calculates your pay based on clicks. Amazon compensates on sales. My average payout per click on AdSense last month was $0.29. Now, I did really well with Amazon and its total payout was slightly more than AdSense. But if I had gotten that same $0.29 for every Amazon click I had, I would be on a plane to Aruba right now -- or maybe Jamaica. Hmmm...Bali perhaps?

   I had the same scenario last month, Irohner, but what about CTR?  I had comfortably over twice as many Amazon clicks as adsense.  Even with a lower earnings per click it still resulted in nearly 1/2 again the income.
   
   And that's with perhaps 1/2 as many sales hubs as informative ones!  It would seem that my CTR for Amazon type hubs is at least 4 times that of an Adsense oriented hub and could be much higher.  I would have to do some work on analytics to determine for sure.
   
   It might be mentioned, however, that few Amazon hubs are evergreen - the lifespan won't be nearly as long as a good Adsense hub.
