Gambling Hubs

   I saw a gambling hub published the other day, and went and reported it. However upon a quick search of HP, I found there were quite a few gambling related hubs that were at least a few months old showing Adsense adverts.
   
   Just a reminder to everyone that promoting or linking to gambling sites is against Adsense ToS, so if you see such a hub you should report it.
   
   There is a special section in the Flag hub window for gambling.

   I certainly will.  Would making subtle references to gambling if the hub topic called for it be okay.  If someone was writing a review of a hotel/casino in Vegas or a movie like "Secretariat"?  Would writing something like the history of the Kentucky Derby be considered a gambling theme?

      There is a fine line--I even have a hub that may be on the edge--the main thing is to not link to any pay to gamble sites.
      
      I believe way back when I wrote it, someone reported me and it was determined it was ok.

   Simple type in "online casino" for a quick look at plenty of hubs which are definitely promoting gambling sites. I already flagged and had removed a whole bunch under "gambling".

   Not only gambling but also there are hubs on hacking and pornography with active ads!! Those hubs are written so cleverly that the filter could not detect those. Few week ago someone came to the forum and reported a hub that contains hacking tips in the comment section. I reported the hub and sent multiple email to the author to delete the spam comments. The author has removed those spams at last. And the great shock is all these 50-120 word hubs has a score around 70 that is pretty high. I always become very disgusted when I see these hubs doing such good and my suicide prevention hubs [5 hubs and are my best performing hubs] get ads disabled even after manual review!! This is horrible

      I have ads disabled on one of my hubs as well.  In it I mention one of the actors committed suicide.  That is just disgraceful that your ads would be disabled on such community service hubs.

         It's actually against Google Adsense ToS to place adverts on sensitive content. So by removing adverts, hubpages is protecting themselves, Saleheensblog AND anyone who uses a referral tracker that places their adverts on those hubs.
         
         So it is unfortunate, but hubpages does their best to remove adverts on questionable content.
         
         That's why it's important to flag anything you see that may not adhere to ToS.

            make sense but I don't understand how does it really work. I have 6 hubs on suicide prevention. 5 of them gets ads disabled but one of them gets the ads! The tags and content are almost similar in all hubs. And I have seen many other hubs on suicide in HP where ads are active!! No complain against HP as they are doing such things for keeping their reputation upright that eventually is good for every hubber but its little confusing when the rule is not applied similarly for all similar contents.

               I don't know what happened to the hub I was talking about a few minutes ago but my ads are active on that hub.  I've linked your prevention hubs to it.  That won't help your ad clicks but hopefully it will help your traffic.

                  I will just be happy if anyone become benefited with these hubs. One of the hubber was benefited at least. I met her in real life and spent plenty of time to bring her back to normal life.

         you can send the hub for manual review. http://hubpages.com/contact_us/
         
         If a very little part of your hub contain questionable terms I would suggest you to remove that part and then send for review.

   I certainly will flag them when I see them.. I do flag some hubs that look like pornographic sites.

      I don't know why people are so excited about aunty photos. Those aunties don't even look nice. And from earning perspective the CPC is dirt poor. 0.05-0.1, at best 0.3
