Catch and release if you choose(which is usually what I do). Anyway any girls like to fish, I find it hot when girls do!

I go steelhead fishing in Idaho every fall.  This year my trip got cancelled because of family problems.  sad

Not actually suggesting that your family problems are not of high importance but steel-head fishing . . . . .  I might just have left home for that.

I've only been fishing a handful of times but I did have a lot of fun. Biggest fish I caught was a baby shark lol. I thought I caught some enormous fish cuz he was a heavy little guy! I wanted to keep him as a pet but I put him back with his buddies.big_smile

I use to go fishing with my father as a child. We would catch fish and sometimes go crabbing.... I loved it. Especially when we went camping. We would cook are catches over a open fire.

Ha, well my little god-daughter came over(10). She didn't even say hi to anyone, she just went straight to the pond in my backyard! I was so excited can't wait to take her fishing when I get a boat smile

I went like once or twice but I would like to learn and really do it, I'm more into nature now.

If I don't catch anything, I'm bored.  If I do catch something, I'm disgusted by the hook through the mouth.  I do, however, enjoy the boat ride.

I like fishing and I like looking at the waters while me sitting down, just observing the nature and fishing. Once you caught the fish, I would like to return it to where it belongs. I love to eat fish though, smiles..

I went fishing in bigger seas (takes an overnight to do that) when I was younger in the Philippines, with boats and I miss it.

I have to answer for my girls here - my daughters 14 and 13 love fishing, and put their brother to shame on a weekly basis.

Ha, that is awesome, me and my brothers would be able to live that down, we would be out fishing every day if our sister was better than us!

I've never heard a girl bring up fishing in a conversation, unless it was my mom/aunt telling us to go fishing, just to get us out of the house.

Fishing is very fun and can be fun for anyone, they really just have to give it a shot.

oh yea!  Sometimes, I catch and release but when the water is clear and the lake is clean, then I'll catch to eat.  Mind you, I only catch what I can eat.  smile

I think that the male idea of fishing differs from the female.  The girls never seem to grasp the idea of doing nothing with fishing as an excuse smile

Spin-casting for Steelhead and Salmon at Tow Hill on Haida Gwaii - best fishing on the Northwest Coast, and fabulous scenery.

We went fishing with Dad to spend time outdoors together, and, of course, to feast on Salmon, but the feasting was really secondary.

Yes for me. Great memories of walking waaayyy out on the dock with my dad and hubby at the Marin Rod & Gun Club.
My best catch was a big old stingray. Man, was that guy ever heavy and hard to pull up in the net!!!

Fishing for girls... I verily think the insistence to do this varies depending upon the lady's mood. There may be a time when she feels like getting dirty and going fishing but there will also be the time when she feels like being extremely prim and proper and like to be merely tidy. smile Whichever scenario occurs, girls are susceptible to the idea of going fishing 'cuz it really is fun :> Fishes seem nasty and slimy though big_smile (sometimes) :>

Fishing is a way to get that big adrenaline rush without jumping out of a plane! It is a very fun activity and it teaches you patience and descision making skills. It is also very addictive! There's nothing in the world like landing the Big One!

Absolutely!  I have been flyfishing for more years than I care to admit, and also trek up to BC each fall for steelhead.  I have an advantage in that I grew up with an avid sportsman for a father and only sisters.  No boys.  I fish with a group of women - our membership is approaching 200.  Most of us do i for the love of the sport, and do not have other targets in mind...

I LOVE fishing - especially saltwater angling for reds, flounder, and sharks. I have a saltwater fishing website, have written lots of fising hubs, and write fishing articles for others. What I enjoy so much about saltwater fishing is that you never know WHAT you might catch! I've landed some strange critters!

I love fishing too. Occassionally I try fly fishing for trout in the river, but mostly beach and estuary fishing. I'm not actually very good at it though - I taught my boys to fish and, as a consequence of my 'skill' level, neither are they, poor things. I can spend hours at it, even if nothing bites. I quite like gutting, cleaning, and cooking the catch too. The one activity I didn't like was deep sea fishing - got very sea sick and I'm not prepared to do it again.
