I don't like wearing them, and I don't like shopping for them.  If only the world were conducive to barefoot living. wink

Used  to be. Still is in some places. Question is, do you want to live there?

No kidding- First thing I do when I get home is take off my shoes. I feel like they are suffocating. Tennis shoes are the worst. I love to go to a park and feel the cool grass on my bare feet- (sigh)
My feet are much happier when they are free.

yes, indeed i do live in kentucky.  i suppose that i AM playing into the stereotype of barefoot hillbillies, aren't i? lol.  but, to break the stereotype cycle, i am NOT barefoot AND pregnant, with another baby on my hip standing over a stove.  so...there. lol.

I would NEVER have called you a hillbilly! Just to add to the beach scene, here where I live, it is neverending summer. Its only the humidity that changes.
        Beaches everywhere. Jealous???
CW This sand is not uncomfortable even in your shoes. lol lol

Close to Bombay there is Hamla (a private beach only for the Indian Navy) where we used to go at least once in a month. I just don't like any shoes on a beach as it is very uncomfortable to walk once sand is inside the shoes and then even the shoes have to washed thoroughly. My mother would make us wash our feet thoroughly after coming back from the beach to the private beach front shack. WOW!! Those were wonderful days cool

You make me long for summer.  I refuse under any circumstances to wear shoes on a beach, the feeling is too sensational.

Glad somebody shares my love for summer(btw just another 3 months for summer countdown). Over here in Seattle even in summer the waters aren't warm enough to swim mad

Wimp! I bet they are. On our family summer holidays in the south-west of England, my mother used to pull us out of the Atlantic when we started to turn blue (-:

Many, many, many pairs of shoes are a necessity!  Now you know that, smile, or you wouldn't have put this in the shopping forum.

So true! I love shoes. There just aren't many problems in this world that can't be solved with a really cute pair of shoes. smile

LOL. you are so right.  as much as i love my feet being in the buff...the whole worm thing freaks me out to no end, and is definitely a barefoot deterrent.

Yes, Teresa.  Lining them up and looking at all of them is very important.

They just say: I'm summery and espadrilley for the beach, I'm for when you walk down the city streets all dressed in black, I'm a red stiletto for when you want to be naughty, etc, etc...

And C.C.....  You can get worms thru yer feet??  I just didn't know....

I grew up in NY and ran around without shoes most of the time.

I now live in Kentucky and hardly see anyone without them.

    Different times I guess. smile

whenever me and my brother were bought a new pair of trainers / sneakers, we used to 'test' them out and have a race down our road when we were kids. He always won as he was older sad

Think I should have tried ran without the trainers though lol
