Without any particular reasons traffic to my hubs drop 50%, is it because of Cristmas?

What do you mean 'without any particular reason'?  Christmas - that's the reason!  People are with their families and friends instead of being online...hopefully they'll get back online for the after Christmas sales!

Yes everyone is offline celebrating, with family, playing with their presents!

My traffic fell by about 1/3 and I was expecting it - I will probably only be online for 20 minutes today and I am always on the web!

You are not the first to notice. It's indeed because of Christmas. It's funny how this ever-present internet is still affected by daily things smile

Well not all hubpages members are christians or celebrating festivals.

If you're targeting to christian crowd or anyone who is celebrating new year/Christmas then expect low traffic upto first week of January.  Again these things are based on geographic location, niche and the place where you're hosting the content.

And it depends on the topic of your hubs as well. My day has been the largest ever and still going.

I was surprised to see it, but my traffic is holding strong!

Today was the highest traffic day this week for me. And also surprisingly, it's not my holiday hubs that are thriving, but the same ones that usually drive the majority of my traffic.

And AdSense earnings didn't fall off, either!

It was a nice Christmas surprise big_smile

Yeah, my traffic has plummeted due to Christmas. There are a few times of the year where you can expect this. The 4th of July is usually a bad time as is the end of August when kids go back to school. Think about the times of the year when people are preoccupied with things: Christmas shopping, being outside in the summer sun, making sure their kids make it to school on time, etc...

Now with this in mind, think of some things you can write about that can give you a little oomph these times of the year: articles ABOUT these times of the year.
Try writing articles about school supplies or where to see the best 4th of July fireworks displays. That way, you'll get some traffic.

Well my Hub, "How to Dispose of Xmas Wrapping Paper Without Adding to Landfill Problems" is seeing an increase in traffic.

Although my other Hub, "How to Purchase and Use Xmas Paper in a Safe Manner" has dropped slightly.
