One of my hub got earnings from pay per impression ad. My question is
1. Getting those ads -Is it good sign or bad sign?
2. What if someone click on those impression ads?
I always find that I have a mix of PPC and impression-based ads on HP. It's neither a good nor a bad sign.
The whole point of those ads is to have readers click on them. You just don't get paid for the clicks. You get paid for the impressions whether there are clicks or not.
Does those click updated in our adsense account?
Adsense algorithm is not open so we can't say if it's good or bad. You'll also find impression based ads paying 1$ or so once you reach miles views which is good sign if you're not getting any clicks at all on specific topic hubs. As lrohner said, it's not good but it's not bad either.
Sorry for the stupid question guys, but what are pay per impression ads? Do we have to sign up for them separately ? Any way to track those ads ? Really sorry for thread Hijack...
These are ads that we get paid for when someone sees them (views the page) rather when someone clicks on them.
Typically they pay well under a penny per view.
You do not sign up for them - they are a part of the adsense program.

I have been a bit puzzled about the way Google Adsense pays. There is reference to page impressions and clicks. I know that clicks get paid for at various rates, but I am not sure about impressions. Does the number of page impressions bring in any revenue. For example, some of my articles get...

Hi, I joined HubPages about 2 weeks ago and I'm constantly finding ways to improve my hubs. I start most of my hubs with images, causing the advertisements to appear towards the middle or end of my hubs. I read that it is better to have advertisements appear at the top of hubs. Should I redo my...

All 5 of my hubs are featured. Is that a good sign that I could eventually earn money?I have only written 5 and to be honest I really didn't try very hard on 4 of them.....all of them got featured though. Do you think if this is something that I stuck with, I could eventually earn money?

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...

In about 1000 page impressions I got 6 clicks. That is very low right? How can I increase my click ratio? I notice i might get 20 cents for one click. If i could somehow get more clicks my revenue would go up considerably. What should I do with my adsense settings such as color of text and should i...
