RENO, Nev. – Six girls have been arrested after students were invited on Facebook to take part in "Attack a Teacher Day" at two middle schools.
One girl was accused of inviting about 100 students on the social networking website to participate in the event Friday, and the other five were accused of responding with online threats against specific teachers, Carson Middle School Principal Dan Sadler said.
The Nevada Appeal in Carson City reported the girls were booked Wednesday at juvenile hall on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats. Their names were not released.

the girls said it was a joke...ha ha.not funny..
I don't think it's funny either. Horrible joke.
Now, if we could just get the teachers to stop attacking our students by political correctness, we'd be on the road to making things better!
Definitely not in good taste, it would have been diferent if it was 'Attack a Teacher's Dress Sense Day', or 'Attack a Teacher's Favourite Music Day'. That's cool :-)
with all the kids going 'postal' and shooting up schools no should be joking around like this.
I encountered many aggressive and defiant students as a teacher and it's no laughing matter when you have to deal with large numbers of kids looking to get in a free punch..
I hope these girls are not let off with a slap on the wrist.
ATTACK a teacher? Real nice.
Brenda, I know you think you're being cute, but really.
Do you know anything about the politics in Nevada? What makes you think the teachers in this school are politically correct or "attacking" their students with PC ideas?
For all you know, they could all be Sharron Angle supporters. Perhaps the teachers in this school have been teaching the students it's the American way to employ "Second Amendment remedies" to any perceived problem.
I'm not saying they are or they did.
But then again, who knows how these girls have been influenced?
however you're influenced, violence isn't the key.
