If you discovered absolute proof that god didn't exist. how would your day to day life be altered? Please be as specific as you can.
Well, I'm very religious. I follow the book as best I can, I walk in love as best I can, help as much as I can, pray throughout the whole day. I do preach about God, and share my story to anyone who wants to know about it. So far, the way things in my life have gone, there is no evidence against the existence of God. I've gone through my father's death at the age of 7, to moving constantly through out my whole life, never really having friends. My family has struggled financially because of the debt my real father put us in. I've had my own personal struggles, and even at one point started to lose faith in God. There was a year I would constantly ask for a sign from Him. Guess what happened? I was taking the activity bus home from school do to a late class I had, and the driver, a really nice guy, gave me this coin. I still have it, it has a quote from the Bible, on one side I believe it says "Be still and know that I am God" and I'm not sure what the other side was. But that's what started to bring my faith back. Eventually I came to this church, non denominational, very friendly, not judgemental, and very helpful. From then on my faith has grown, and every time I pray, I pray consistently until I get my answer. I could be more detailed but it's already TL;DR haha.
I understand why you have your faith, I was curious as to how your day to day life would be altered if you discovered god didn't exist.
I forgot to answer that didn't I? >.< Well, I honestly don't think it would change much. The prayer and reading and studying all leads to one common thing. Which is meditation. If that's the case, meditation is a cure for many of lifes problems, and I would continue to do so.
That would be hard to imagine (absolute proof...etc.)
Usually, it's the other way round. People want absolute proof that He DOES exist.
In any case, I believe NO-ONE has any idea, just how much God influences this world, society, or individuals.
Heaven is a place where ONLY God's influence reigns supreme, with no other effects there.
Hell is the other place where the is NO God presence, and everything else reigns supreme.
We are somewhere in between here on earth.
Just my perception of answering your hypothetical.
nothing...it has not mattered to me whether god exist or doesnot exist...if god is real , i am convinced that HE has no role is how things operate...and if god is unreal well nothing changes...
If you are right, then indeed nothing matters.
If you are wrong, BOY, will it matter!!
Not to me ...if i am wrong may be for god it matters!!!!!!!...i dont believe i need god to live life and do what i think i should do...i and god are fine without each other ......and i have more important entities called fellow human beings to love and live with than some one whose existence is debated since humans began to think...
you missed one little word "will".
I was talking "future tense".
You live life as you like. It's AFTER all that, to which my statement refers.
No need for the
i would love to be wrong but when i view nature from larger perceptive and taking all other species into account ...god as defined by religion is not what seems to be true...what would you do if you are wrong?

I refuse to prove that I exist, says God, for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing. But," says Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway isn't it? It proves you exist, and so therefore, you don't," "Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and...

A few weeks ago I asked what I thought was quite a serious, searching question about the existence of God, and was rather disappointed when it got a very limited response. (This could have been because we were all wrestling this other equally important issues at the time.)Peter Lopez made a valiant...

Many believers like to say that Atheists should prove that there is no God. Believers should know that existence has to be proved, not the non-existence. If a thing exists, it is possible to prove its existence. So believers should prove the existence of God if he exists. But if they want to do it,...

I wrote a hub on how faith is not required in order to be an atheist. Someone requested that I turn it into a forum thread as well. My position is that atheism, by definition, is the lack of a belief in a god. Therefore, faith is not required. The common dismissive quote is...
