Time Is Just A Concept....

   You don't need to follow it and it is irrelevant to you, until time runs out. Your time begins, and your time ends, the labels applied to 'time' in between those points, if 'time' exists, bear little relevance to your life. You can only run out of time once, we shouldn't spend all of our time worrying about running out of time; we never know when it will run out, but the chances are it won't be soon.

   We live in the moment. We cannot live in the past for we can never turn time back. We can never live in the future for by the time tomorrow arrives, it is today. Before you can think to step into a future moment it is here and past into the past.

         Science has declared that a day has 24 hours, therefore tomorrow is 1 second after the 24th. hour is started, not a second sooner. How does one determine when a while-ago began or how long it lasts?

            Good question !  Sometimes I think that A-While-Ago is still going on.
            
              Things that we did A-While-Ago are still aecting my life.
            
              Can we separate the things that ocured in the moment from the moment that they happened in?
            
               No we can't, ..  kinda ? ...   but not completely?
            Sure we can ?   I don't know !

   I will say this: I've NEVER had a clock in my bedroom.  I'm a huge James Dean fan, (my mom says I was born in the wrong generation), and for my birthday one year, she bought my a clock with James Dean's face on it, thinking I would finally set one up.
   
   It sits beside my TV, without batteries, constantly showing twelve o'clock.
   
   It's perfect.

   As far as I understand it we know very little about time, we have a concept of it but our understanding of time as a straight line from an infinate past to an infinate future is just a way of reconciling our place in the here and now.  I expect that this is a bit like flat earth theory - when we get a better grip on it we will wonder how we could have been so dim as to see time the way we do. 
   
   Mathematics is closely related and most of our 'modern' ideas of time come from maths as far as I can see - with number planes and number shapes, and from this sprang the ideas of parallel universes (in time) and alternate realities.  We have to wait for the clever people to show us I guess.

      I can't agree more.
        I think that if we didn't perceive time the way that we do, we'd go nuts.
         Like Jack Nicholson said  in the movie, ...
         WE  CAN"T  HANDLE  THE  TRUTH
      
         There are some truths that we can not even begin to understand.   
         
        To imagine that time does not exist outside of our understanding, is like so many other perseptions that we falsely hold onto.
         We are not nearly as amazing as we would like to think.

   I've changed my mind about time being irrelevant. If I ignore it, I may just miss my flight to San Francisco.
   
   Therefore, time is highly relevant. Else, I can't go on holiday... which would suck.
