New here, saying Hi

   Hey everyone,
   
   I joined Hubpages a while ago but have just recently started exploring and writing my own hubs.  It seems there is an awesome community here and I thought I'd introduce myself to all of you before I got too much further into my HP experience.
   
   My interests include zoos and aquariums, fantasy football, animals, creative writing, poker, fund raising, fantasy literature, and writing.
   
   I worked for a zoo before I recently accepted a new job, so I thought that I would start off by writing about working for a zoo and about the animals that I loved there.
   
   It'd be nice to get some sort of income going from using hubpages, but I know that that will take a lot of work and even more patience.  Anyway, looking forward to chatting with all of you!

      Working at the zoo must have been cool!  I used to volunteer at this place that took in abused and neglected exotic animals.  I'm sure you know from working at a zoo how people want to have exotic pets and then realize it was a bad idea when they cant control or take care of them!  My favorite animal there was the prairie dog Wilbur, he was so squishy!  Well my point is I love animals and I love going to zoos, and it will be exciting to read your hubs about the animals!

   Stina, yeah we would get calls everyday from people who wanted to get rid of their parrot or large snake or other types of animals that people buy without realizing that they need to be taken care of properly. 
   
   My favorite animals are snow leopards
   
   I'm going to get my animal fix by volunteering at a local animal shelter, orientation is in a few week
