Anyone tried to efile this year? how'd it go for ya? Need to vent? or was it a snap?
not that I really care. Just gives us something to talk about besides war, religion and hubpages.
oh and sex
not talking about that!
taxes. time to get worried!
I usually do, it's quick and easy. I may do it differently this year since I have some online earning to claim
I thought it would be easy, but this year it is kind of strange to me, or possibly it may be that my perceptions of the government's bureacracy are f*d up. This is just a thought. after trying to use the "free file forms" -argggggggh!
Tomorrow I may be ready to kiss all those poor schmucks that have to think up their forms. But today I'm thinking they make it just difficult enough so their fav "e file businesses" will get some.
I bet it IS simpler to efile your U.S. taxes from Canada! We in the U.S. often make things simpler for other nations to do.
rant rant rave rave- maybe I'll just go take a nap in the sunshine! At least we're not going off/on about S.A.D. like last year this time!
I always e-file. It's really easy, even with online earnings. It may be a bit more complicated for me this time around, though, as my partner and I bought a house late last year!
No way, CPA is the way to go for us. My husband worked out of the country, in India. It gets complicated, so we have someone else do it for us.
We've used Turbo Tax the past several years. Bought it at Costco and you can deduct the cost each year. I believe each year it's easier and easier to use. Yeah!!! I think the hardest part is getting everything organized and just sitting down to do it.
Now we don't have a lot of deductions in the way of kids, 2nd home, work out of country, etc. If we did, I would most definitely use a CPA.
On another note, I wish my mother had consulted with an attorney and better set up her affairs when she had full use of her faculties. This is something we ALL need to think about. Medical and mental healthcare powers of attorney, etc. You may think about the upfront $$, but in the long run, you'll be saving so much heartache and anguish for your spouse and kids.
********Just a reminder in case you didn't hear about the delay that will effect some folks this tax season

GO Jets OR I mean Go Steelers awww never mind
ah yah, taxes - since we don't want to really know our money, I mean really get to know our money, I guess we'll never know how it gets taxed, where that all goes, when it goes and yeah, that's why I hate to do taxes - I have to think about my money then. icky money.
luckily I am not being taxed on anything I've done for Hubpages this year!! whew!
and at least I'm not being taxed for the air I breath, and the space I take up - nope, wait. I am! whew!
every year I have to think about it. dang. taxed on every dollar 3 to 6 ways depending on which economists you consult.
at least I don't have to worry about 6 figure income here! whew! I've really got it made - I'm still at the pseudo-poverty level!
I'll let y'all know as soon as I inherit anything. No, wait, the government can also do that for me! I hope it won't, but that'll depend on "the government". have a nice day!
I've e-filed my taxes for the last 7 years without any problem. It is much faster and easier. Plus you get your refund faster. Also, if you e-file from year to year it is easy if the only thing that is changing is your salary; the rest of your personal information can be transferred to the new tax form with a couple clicks.

It is in HP's interests to reassess the policy about DMCAs. For years we've been told hubbers are responsible for filing DMCAs about individual copyright infringements. But I've looked at the DMCA documentation and really can't see why.So here's my 6 top reasons why I believe HubPages should take...
