Titles - What do you suggest

   When I began, I had NO idea what I was doing and gave my hubs ridiculous (in hindsight) titles many of which have little or no relevance to SEO.
   
   I don't know whether to unpublish and re-publish some of them with more appropriate and searchable terms.  Some are seeing little traffic but are over a year old.
   
   I could re-title them but since the URL doesn't change will that help improve traffic?
   
   Any ideas welcome.

      One thing that reallly helps is to go ahead and fill in a fake title (Say you are writing about a particular breed of cat so you throw something like "Poo sand" or whatever. Write your little heart out, and then as you are going back  to edit your hub, with each section - write the title that best fits. With your main title, however, that's a bugger. You really need to know what you are going to write in advance so your url, title, and hub all coincide.

      When you get into it, you can see it's not what the title suggests, but I had the accidental benefit of attracting attention.

      i would advise just changing up the titles with relevant keywords as well as the tags which should be suffice

   Titles are most important, as compared to URLs, as the title tuner feature strongly suggests. I would not unpublish hubs unless the URLs were completely non-descriptive or even misleading. Remember that the aging has a SEO importance, which would be lost in case you delete hubs.

      The titles are not misleading at all.  They are very descriptive but not at all SEO friendly. 
      
      For example I have one that is titled something like
      Three Amazing Boat Trips You can enjoy from Hanoi!  See my difficulty? 
      
      I published that one about 14 months ago and it deserves to get a lot more traffic than it does.  The Title Tuner in some instances isn't much help to me because it sees so little traffic there's not much to recommend.  I have more like that too!

   Yes. It definitely can help. Just last week, I went into one of my "stale" hubs that had barely drawn any traffic in a year. I tweaked the title (making sure to add that new keyword into the text and tags), and voila! Two red arrows in very short order and a $200 sale within 48 hours.

      Sounds like everyone is saying to tweak them rather than republish with a better URL.

   Yes, changing your title to a more SEO (yet still visitor pleasing) title can be very effective.  I've have seen it work several times.  In fact, it's one of the techniques I speak of in 5 Ways to Revive a Dead Hub.
