I am almost at $10 and I don't know why but I am so excited and I just needed to share! I guess the hub book I'm writing is a big hit! smile

I'm getting close to $3.00. But, if my hub views keep vanishing like they have been, I'll probably drop below that. I lost over 70 views of my hubs, 10 within the last hour. I can't figure out what is going on there.

Have you written any hubs lately? And if so what are the topics? For a while mine dropped too.

Don't panic, the hub view day is not like an actual clock. It seems to be based on the actual times of day your hubs were each originally published. This means I can check my hub views at say 20.00pm and have 2030 views in total, but might check again at 20.45pm and find I am now showing as having 1980 views. The stats are as correct as is possible for hubpages technology, but not based on a clock as a whole. Hope that makes sense, hard to explain.

Very nice (: I  have yet to earn money :\  Hopefully I'll start to get more views! I'm still fairly new to this, so I guess it's pretty normal so far.

Keep working more on your hubs and forget about adsense , your hubs will be your money machine .

It is wrong (sorry) to say "Keep working more on your hubs and forget about adsense , your hubs will be your money machine".

You don't get paid ANYTHING for writing hubs, Adsense is where you make most of your money, followed by Amazon, Ebay and Kontera. If you have none of these you won't make a single penny/cent

I got Amazon and Google hits today, a couple of bucks total. Up to over $5 on Google and 1.50 on Amazon. Been here about 4 months and 50 Hubs. It is slow getting started, and I have no big draw Hubs. My best Hub may get 10 to 20 hits a day, and that is only because the title makes it sound like a porn site.

I think we all do. haha Maybe if everyone worked as a team started reading others hubs as much as we work on our own then we could all start making a living. So I am going to start reading more hubs. We all have such different ideas and I think it'd be better if we started reading more. smile

Well I don't think it can be that hard to get the word out! We just need to start working harder. I really really need the money and I don't want to have to do what I said I would do in Chapter 2 part 1 of my book so lets get the ball rolling!

Keep at it, Hubpages is a good place to start earning with Adsense, Ive been making over $200 every month,  although earnings are a bit lower this month, apparently January is harsh due to advertisers bids. Don't let anybody tell you that you can't earn with Adsense, you just have to learn a lot and write about the right stuff.

Hi, well done, and the main thing is to just keep writing! I have been here for little over a year and I have had three google ad payouts, and have earned about $70 on Amazon. Don't forget to always answer your comments, and then go straight over and read their hubs, leave a comment and if you like their work follow them too, it is best to leave a comment on the follow box then they can see you, if you just click follow, they may not see it. People appreciate you leaving a reply and even more they like it when you make the effort to go and read theirs too, good luck!

I agree with Richie and Nell.

I would say 90% of hubbers here have started to earn something and are just at various stages.

Think of hubbing like a snowball. If you keep rolling it, it grows. If you leave it, it starts to melt.

Reaching the stage where you earn even a few cents, assures you that there is money to be made here.

The secret is to build your knowledge of the writing process and niche research by a simple fact of reading a few hubs.

Spend some time reading the hubs on how to make money with hubpages to gather useful tips and then go and implement them into your hubs. Each time you write, you will have learnt another trick or tip to better your chances.

Read up on things like backlinking, SEO and Niches.

Select Hubs from the search bar at the top of the page on the right and then enter a term to find the hubs on each topic. This is exactly how I learned.

For a bunch of knowledge hubs, a hubber named sunforged wrote a 60 day challenge recently that is jampacked with tips.

    Good luck my fellow hubbers.

It is possible when you format Hubs correctly to make money. No matter what you write about there are always better keywords to target and on page SEO factors to keep in mind.

I have earned $94 so should be on track for my first payout next month. As I continue to learn and write better optimized material I have steadily seen my average Adsense earnings per day rise.

I may have to write some more Hubs soon to step things up a notch.
Good to see others earning as well!

    1. ImChemist profile image60
ImChemistposted 13 years agoin reply to this

How long you take to earn this $94?

      1. profile image0
BenjaminBposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Total time at end of month will be 5 months 3 weeks. Which after I posted here I have went up to $97.38 total so pretty safe bet I'll be hitting that first payout.

Unlike many people who subscribe to the more more more Hubs theory, there are also many people on here who accomplish this with less. I briefly had 30 Hubs, but did not want many of them that were on substandard topics to remain so I cut them down to 19 total.

I would say the amount of Hubs I have had averaged over the time I've been here was not much higher than I have now.

For reaching first payout here on Hubpages, its excellent - especially with only 20 hubs!

What about you IzzyM , how much you get from adsense and how long you make it ?

            2. profile image0
BenjaminBposted 13 years agoin reply to this

              Thanks Izzy,

Of course all of that payout amount was not accomplished on just Hubpages. The majority was however as of today out of $99.19 total I have earned $64.96 here on Hubpages.

The rest came from social bookmarking sites that share revenue and within the last 1 1/2 months I have started 2 websites in my trucking niche that have not received many clicks, but when I have got them they have been good quality paying clicks.

Traffic wise I don't think I've done really spectacular,I just passed 10K Hub views last week. I didn't know how to set up channels on Adsense at first though, so besides money I've earned total the rest of the numbers are not correct as I did not set up channels until 2 1/2 months into my writing endeavors.

I have had a couple Hubs in the past eared towards helping beginners understand how i believe I accomplished this, but I deleted them. I believe I'm going to do another one in the future.

On a related note it was driving me crazy to have an odd number of Hubs so I released another one to get it to 20 even. Ah even numbers are so peaceful, lol.
