I have recently started writing on infobarrel. I admire their 75% adsense and the interface is decent.

How well does the site rank in terms of the search engines?

      David,

Infobarrel has not as much PR as HP but I strongly believe they are rising quickly. I think you are wise to start there. I have been thinking about myself joining there in addition to HP.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing: even if they do no rank as high, they may be getting better.

Keyword research is the solution , choose your long tail keywords with little competition and get backlibks and you can see your self in the 1st page.

My articles at IB don't rank really well. But there is no harm in publishing a few articles there.

Do you know another site with adsense sharing that ranks well, similar to hubpages?

I don't mind writing multiple articles a day, I just want to make sure its relatively productive. In other words, the site ranks well enough...

I been trying to find as many good article directories as I can. It can be a bit confusing on which ones are good.

        Other revenue sharing sites are;

        squidoo
        xomba
        she told me
        trinod

Check them out. and make sure you social mark, twit and digg them and build some links to it.

I think Hubpages have slight advantages over squidoo since its alexa rank higher.

Alexa has nothing to do with SEO!

Then what is the use of alexa?
I heard that No.1 alexa site gets higher traffic and so on. In that way I thought hubpages is better than squidoo and ezine is better than hubpages.

                Am i right?

All Alexa does is record traffic from people who use it's toolbar.  It is a good indicator of traffic from the Technology sector but that is about it!

The problem with Squidoo that I noticed is that you are not boosted up as quickly as writers are on Hub Pages. In other words much harder to get the backing juice that Hub Pages gives to all more easily.

I know quite a few of them, but none of them is as good as hubpages.

I have listed them at: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Make-Mon … -Instantly

Yes, I agree HP is best! Some program may give 100% adsense but HP usually gets more traffic.

Personally, I would avoid Info Barrel.  It's the kind of site that will probably get Google slapped in the near future.

Unlike HP, which has a healthy mix of people who write for fun, money, and both, IB is 99% internet marketers.  And unlike HP, which attracts people who can write well, IB members tend to be bad writers in general.  Spelling, grammar, and usage errors up the wazoo.  No sense of flow and structure, just one awkwardly keyword-stuffed sentence after another is what they call an article.

I challenge you to find a regular IB contributor of the same caliber as Habee, Marisa Wright, Uninvited Writer, Patty Inglish, and many of the other excellent writers here (sorry, I know I missed a bunch of the super stars here!)

InfoBarrel just becomes junkier and junkier by the minute! Whereas other sites like Xomba, Squidoo, and Bukisa are actually trying to *improve* their reputations and reward quality.

The site might be good for a couple of backlinks, but very few people are making good money with IB.  IB forum members have been saying since forever how IB's rank will improve any day now.  Hasn't happened yet, and I doubt it ever will since their quality is on the rapid decline.

Sounds like you have a strong opinion on that. Well, I am looking for answers. i need a site that will provide decent page rank. I love hubpages and will continue to write here, but would like to write elsewhere too.

Anyone else have a similar opinion about infobarrel?

As for squido, I am going to look into it.

Suite 101 is great. A little stricter than HP, but I started earning from the day i joined.

Of course, i 'cut my teeth' at HP. smile

Interesting. How did you earn from day one? Adsense or some other sources.

Why would you write an article on info or squid.  Both of these dont come close to hubpages as far as google is concerned.  75 percent of nothing is nothing.  Squid has been majorly google slapped.  There really is not even any reason to write on those sites because if your going to write a good article why waste it on those sites and not put it on hubpages.

I have written for IB for a year and it is a great community.  We can earn up to a 90% rev share each month if we choose to.

IB is up and coming.  There are a few writers who are earning big bucks (over $1,000 per month) and many, like myself, earn payout month after month. And each month, more members are earning payout.

Of course, like with any writing site, you will have to put in the time and write the articles.  You just can't write a few and say, "It doesn't work".

IB 2.0 is coming out this month.  Give it a try if you are looking for another place to write!  You will be warmly welcomed.

Infobarrel is an okay site but I personally think there are better places to write.  Infobarrel is also in danger of gettign slaped by Google for having LQC (low quality content) in the shape of spun, duplicate, and keyword stuffed articles.  Google announced recently that they are going to be cracking down hard on all of these things.
