I found this article via the Warrior Forum. Google is going to be cracking down on the amount of spam on the search engines, and it might be targeting content mills, too.

We already have a few threads open on this
Thanks.
Just checked it out.
So, is this good or bad for HP?
It's good for sites that promote non spam content. I don't know how much duplicate content Hubpages contains, but it probably is not enough to cause a huge issue.
Several smaller spam sites are panicking now, and are asking users to remove duplicate content. Some of the less reputable forums are also seem to have a lot of scared members as well!
That we have to do here in cleaning this site from spammer , if you find any spam profile flag it !
I saw a tweet today from Maddie, HP staff, who banned over 2500 spam accounts today!
As they say, content is king, legitimate websites will float to the top, poor quality will sink to the bottom, its just that simple
I hope their "discoverer" works soon! Its getting NASTY to search for almost anything! so, that'll be real good - I reallly am looking forward to less spam. everywhere.
Search engine spam is getting out of control, so if Google can put something in place to effectively filter the true spam, then it should be a good thing. We'll have to reserve judgment until we see how it works, though.

I have a question about whether or not I should delete an article and re-write a whole new one with updated content and new images. The old article was published in 2013, has had one view in the last 30 days and has a total view count of 769. Also, it's not on a niche site.I want to delete the old...

I thought it was very interesting. He says a blog in the make money online niche was recently pulled by Google (Blogspot) and that they seem to be more vigilant about investigating high earners.Must be a good thing really? Google surely just wants to deliver the best exeprience possible to...

There has been a lot of discussion in the last few days about HP changing the rules and people being un-featured or even un-published for spam and over promotional activity. So I just want to add my thoughts......Whether people (writers) like it or not most of their traffic will be coming from...

I have just written a hub last night, about a singer, who has never been written about before, apart from on her own YouTube site, and I have been wacked with a duplicate warning and unpublished!!! How on earth can it be duplicate when the whole hub came out of my brain? On top of this it says it...

I just got hit by a duplicate content unpublishing of one of my articles. For the record, it is my own work which I had originally published on another platform and wanted to relocate here. After deleting the article from the original site, I submitted a request with Google to have that deindexed...
