my traffice is going down from hundreds page views before to 10 PV. WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT? I couldn't thumbs up on Thumbsupon, I don't know why? my score is dropping too! I couldn't understand. is there any trickery on Pubpages? has it attracted me here with high traffic then drop ?
One would assume you had to sign up before getting high traffic, so I'd discount that theory.
How are you trying to get traffic?
You will only get out of it what you put into it ...there is no guarantee of high traffic...you got to work aka provide Hubs ... that people will like and keep coming back for more. What would make you return to a site? answer that and you will find high traffic.
Mine goes up and down with world traffic, so I get my traffic at odd times in Australia. There are so many factors that it may take a while for traffic to be steady.A friend of mine has only 20 hubs, yet always gets a good score for them, and often beats me although I have 60 hubs, although at one time or another mine have been high.I have taken to improving my old hubs when I have time, adding videos, photos, links, and extending article length. If I discover a new way to keep my score high I will let you know. I hope this helps.
Google values recency, so a newly-published Hub is much more likely to show up in search results than one that is a week or more old.
This means you tend to get a rush of traffic when you first publish, but you have to build backlinks to maintain your front-page position.
It's pretty hard to keep a Hub on Page 1 of the Google search results - you need the right topic, and you need to keep updating it, and you need other sites to add links to it at regular intervals.
It can be done, though.
Jenny
I agree Jenny. The only way I could accept Darksides view is if most of the traffic came from Hubpages and Top Victor didn't check that source. The hundreds may have come from Hubpages. I didn't think his answer was very helpful however. A little bedside manner would be nice:)
thanks all. But I am really tired of promotion. I spent time on promotion quite more than on writing. if there is any website that promotes for us I think we all prefer to share more revenue with it. How can a sodier worry about supplies while fighting on the battle frontier?
Frankly, text is supplies, and the battle happens on promotion. So you are a bit off imagining yourself a soldier on a front line. Front line is exactly what you are trying to avoid
That's fair enough. You don't have to, but then don't be concerned when traffic numbers are down.
Write what you enjoy writing about, and be content with the organic traffic that Search Engines will supply if the hubs are original and unique.
Well, I got what Jenny was talking about, a real boost in the beginning with new hubs but I am not inclined to spend a lot of time adding backlinks. I am not sure where to direct my efforts. That is the problem. My hubs are way below the average based upon the quant traffic stats.
hi all,
Could it also be that people in the internet world subcribe to tag words on google. i subcride to some words and I get an email when some one places a word in a site, blog or article etc, and this gives an influx of viewers to bein with?
I will write a Hub or two. Take time out. Then spend a day or two surfing around and leaving my link here n there. That's how you get yourself *out and about* n people do click. Very simple process. )
Is it a secret where you go out and about? Or can we know your method?
BTW I started using yahoo bookmarks and will see how that does. Is there a good method for using that site?
Use that search button ...top right ...type in generate traffic and all sorts of info will pop up for you to learn. There is no instant magic as much as we would like it to be lol ... except if you buy pay for clicks and that's not guarantee either.

Hi,It has been constant now. The traffic is not going up at any part of the day. It is always down. When HP will get rid of google's claws? Please let me know if anyone has an answer for this.

Hi,I may be hyper-ventilating (and I will be glad if that is the case) but the numbers for HubPages are really bad in terms of traffic in the last few months. Currently it is an all time low of just 8.5 million views a day. Just about a month back it was 10 million views a day. The site rank has...

So my author hubscore has been consistantly going down. I am at 93 today which is lower than I have been in many months. Lately I have been addding a lot of hubs, at least one per day over the lat two weeks. However many of them are hubs that promote the selling of...

Why does it bug me so much when I see my hubscores going down? It is not supposed to matter, especially when it is just a point or 2 but it really gets to me.

I'm not being funny here, the hubstats yet only change 3 or 4 times a week, if you are lucky. Not to mention hubs take over 24 hours to publish. No mentions about it on the blog, no apologies, it isn't like the issue hasn't been ongoing for a while now...Anybody have any idea? Hope I've missed...
